Why a Giving Campaign?

A Giving Campaign is the most effective way to raise funds for our PTA. Our PTA asked and has listened to what our parents want: NO FUSS fundraisers with low volunteer commitments and the preservation of classroom instructional time.The Giving Campaign will be a two-week fundraiser running from October 12th through the 27th.

Is my donation tax deductible?

YES! Your donation is 100% tax deductible and 100% eligible for company matching. The LES PTA Tax ID # is 56-1787326.

Where are my Giving Campaign and PTA fundraising dollars going?

The Giving Campaign will be raising approximately 50% of our annual operating budget for the 2015-2016 school year. The largest expenditure line item in our budget this year is a library renovation. This new modern transformation will include new paint, new tables and chairs, two new instructional areas and a new self check-in/check-out area for students.

I have more than one student attending LES.Is the Giving Campaign asking me to donate $35 for each student, or as a family?

We are asking for $35 per each child attending LES. The PTA spends more than $35 on each student every year through classroom and student support. Your donation – along with money raised through Box Tops, GoPlaySave coupon books, the Silent Auction, and Art to Remember– will ensure the best educational resources possible.

What are the Giving Levels?

100% of the funds donated through the Giving Campaign are tax deductible and go directly to the LES PTA. The following family giving levels can be a personal donation, or total funds donated in honor of your family (through fundraising of local businesses, friends and family):

Giving Level / $35 per LES Student / Family name on front bulletin board
Bronze
Giving Level / $250 total family giving / Family name permanently painted in bronze on a paw print on wall entering library
Silver
Giving Level / $500 total family giving / Family name permanently painted in silver on wall block entering library
Gold
Giving Level / $1,000 total family giving / Family name permanently painted in gold on wall block entering library

What are the school wide incentives for this Giving Campaign?

$10,000 raised / 1 homework pass for every LES student and a school wide pajama day
$20,000 raised / LES PTA cinch sack and LES PTA Frisbee for every LES student
$35,000 raised / School wide recess pizza party with a DJ and a dunking booth – Every student will have two chances to dunk Mr. Cohen!

What if I misplaced my Pledge Card?

Please go to to download and print a new one. You can send the new printed copy to school in an envelope with your child’s name, teacher name and grade level.

What if I would rather write a check than use a credit card or pay online?

Please send in your check (made out to LES PTA) with your child’s pledge card in the attached envelope.

How secure is the information I provide?

Donations online are processed using PayPal, a very secure and trusted service. All information is kept strictly confidential and logged only for tax letter purposes. My company would like to match my gift. What do I need to do?

The company match will count towards your family’s donation. Your company will most likely need the following information in order to match your donation:
