LEAP Team Action Plans

January, 2014 Workshop

What concrete actions can your team take to learn more about LEAP and use LEAP toward improvement of student learning? What can you do to meld elements of LEAP into the important processes and functions in your units?

The possibilities are boundless here. We are looking for commitments toward progress that go above and beyond what would ordinarily occur in your units and would not have been achieved without this workshop and stipend opportunity. By taking this extra time and effort, what can you now achieve? What goals and targets can you set?

·  Ambitious, yet practical.

·  Actions and goals that you can achieve, given real limitations.

·  Assuming resources already available to you, or reasonable to acquire.

·  Addressing the 2014 themes of Inclusive Excellence and/or Innovation.

Ø  Create a short-term plan for what you can accomplish during Spring Semester 2014 (achieve by May, 2014).

Ø  Create a long-term plan for what you can accomplish during the 2014-2015 academic year (achieve by May, 2015).

Poster version (due 2:00, 2nd day of January workshop)

·  Outline the gist of your team’s Spring 2014 plan and the gist of your AY 2014-2015 plan.

·  Display as a poster, limited to 2 pages of flip-chart paper, using colored markers.

·  Pin your poster to a poster display board, UC 275B, by 2:00, 2nd day of January workshop.

·  Prizes will be awarded!
