LOCATION: Junior Senior High School

DESCRIPTION: Full Time position, teaching English/History

PREFERENCE: A Certificated teacher In English / History

QUALIFICATIONS

q A major or minor in English preferred.

q A major or minor in History preferred.

q Knowledge of English / History Grade level expectations and Essential Academic Learning Requirements.

q Appropriate Washington professional education certification.

q Candidate must be able to teach Junior High/High School English/History with a special emphasis toward incorporating technology into the learning process.

q Desired teacher characteristics include: flexibility; ability to organize ideas, time, and materials to accomplish goals; enthusiasm; ability to express ideas clearly; ability to learn new ideas and skills; ability and willingness to develop favorable relationships with students; knowledge of current approaches to teaching; and willingness to model behavior deemed appropriate by the District and the community.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary is determined by the state salary schedule.
