This application must be properly completed and have original signatures of the applicant(s) and or property owner(s).

FILING FEES: $200.00

SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS

1.Development Plan Requirements: Three (3) copies of the site development plan folded to a size of no greater than 7" x 10" prior to acceptance. The Plan must be drawn to scale, have a north arrow, and clearly indicate all dimensions and other pertinent information including the following:

(a)Property dimensions and acreage.

(b)All existing and proposed buildings and structures including location from property lines, size, height, and proposed use(s).

(c)On- and off-street parking and loading areas designed in conformance with the provisions of Sections 12.85 and 12.120 of the Yuba County Zoning Ordinance Code.

(d)Location and nature of all utilities including septic tanks, leach fields, and community sewage systems and potable water sources in accordance with the requirements of the Yuba County Environmental Health Department.

2.One copy of the Assessor's Parcel Map with the subject site clearly identified.

3.Other information as may be required to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of the application by the Community Development Director.

DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS

A Use Permit shall be granted to large-family day care homes provided the following standards are met:

(1)Spacing and Concentration:

One (1) per 1,000 linear feet of street frontage in the R-1, R-2, R-3, and PR zones and one (1) per 2,500 linear feet of street frontage in the AE, A/RR, and TPZ zones.

(2)Parking shall be required as follows:

(a)Three (3) spaces inaddition to two (2) off-street spaces for family members who reside at the home.

(b)Surfacing: All parking shall be surfaced subject to the provisions os Section 12.85.040.

LARGE-FAMILY DAY CARE USE PERMIT APPLICATION

A large-family day care facility provides day care for 7 to 12 children within a single-family home. A Use Permit is required for the operation of such facility. The Use Permit is a tool to ensure adequate placement and standards for day care facilities. The Zoning Administrator shall be responsible for evaluating the Use Permit application. Large-Family Day Care Use Permit applications may be subject to public hearing if requested by the applicant or other person. Decisions may be appealed to the Planning Commission and subsequently the Board of Supervisors.
