Know Your Rights Webquest
Introduction:
You just left school and are walking down College Street heading home after school. You are listening to your music loud on your headphones
You are singing along as you are walking past AutoZone.
A cop comes up to you and makes you take off your earphones.
“Hey turn that music down you are not paying attention and are being a safety hazard” the cop says.
“I ain’t bothering anybody. Leave me alone.”
“Don’t talk back to me. Open your bag.”
“I ain’t opening my bag,” you say and then start walking away.
“Freeze,” the cop screams. He pushes you against the wall of the AutoZone and opens your bag. He finds spray paint and tag stickers in your bag. You are arrested.
Task:
Using CompuLEGAL you have to defend yourself in court. You need to use the Bill of Rights and past Supreme Court Cases in your defense.
Process:
You will make a legal argument using CompuLegal in your defense by making a detailed Outline of your defense
In your argument you must include a summary of each Supreme Court case and each amendment used in their argument and explain how each applies to your case.
· FOUR supreme court cases that would favor your argument
· TWO amendments from the Constitution

GRADE:
Grade will be based on the context of your legal document. Did you include Four Supreme Court cases? Did you include two Constitutional amendments? Did you summarize each of these requirements? Did you apply them to your legal defense?
