The Kingsway Education Foundation is providing another mini-grant opportunity for the next school year by opening mini-grant applications to fund innovative ideas that enhance teaching and learning.

How Does it Work?

Since 2012 the Foundation has donated $94,256.00 to help fund close to two dozen innovative programs and resources developed by Kingsway faculty and staff. Any faculty or staff member can apply for a KEF mini-grant to provide enriching academic experiences in the classroom as well as to provide for or enhance extracurricular experiences that enrich the development our students. Objective

The Foundation’s objective is to encourage and support professionals who have innovative ideas that enhance the experiences of students. Mini-grants enable the purchase of supplies, materials and other resources not provided for by the District’s operating budget. All grant recipients will be required to report on expenditure of grant funds and results of the supported project within one year of the award.

Submission Deadline

Grant applications are due by Monday, May 15, 2017. Please submit applications to Dr. Lavender’s office via interoffice mail.

Who Can Apply?

Any permanent Kingsway Regional 7-12 Teacher, Counselor, CST member, administrator or support staff may apply. No more than one grant will be awarded per year.To apply, please complete the one-page application attached.

Funding Priorities

A committee of educators and community volunteers will review all applications. Applications that advance the goals and objectives of Kingsway’s Strategic Plan are encouraged. Applications will be judged based on the following criteria:

Impact: Potential to improve student achievement; potential to enhance instructional skills / Innovation: Creativity of project; innovative approach; academic objective within curriculum context
Planning: Clear plan for project implementation; teacher capability; cost effectiveness and realistic budget / Alignment with Vision 2019: Alignment with District’s strategic plan; targeted strategies that enhance goals and objectives of strategic plan
