JOB TITLE: Regional Co-ordinator (North)

SALARY:NJC 28 – 39 £24,964 - £34,538

LOCATION: Based in one of E-ACT’s academies within the North region but with travel to all academies within the area.

REPORTING TO: Regional Education Director (North)

CONTRACT: Permanent

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure high quality and efficient administrative support and co-ordination to the Regional Education Director (RED), Deputy Regional Education Director (DRED) and the Regional Operations Director (ROD). The role is designed for a highly organised person who has strong attention to detail.An ability to word process documents accurately and at speed is highly desirable. As part of the role, the post holder will arrange and organise meetings and events, coordinate electronic diaries for regional staff and create Powerpoint presentations. The post holder will be accountable for administration required within the region – including HR administration, governance and general administrative duties.

The post holder will also be required to clerkgovernors and exclusions meetings and to attend an induction day with the national governance team to understand the governance framework in operation throughout the Trust.

Holidays/leave entitlement: 30 days (not including bank holidays). In school holidays, the post holder is likely to be working from home.

Expenses: The post holder may claim expenses for travel, accommodation away from home, and subsistence when away from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To lead on the administration of the raising achievement board (RAB) meetings within each academy in the region, including: establishing a calendar of dates for 6 weekly academy RABs, co-ordinating the paperwork for each RAB in a timely manner, taking accurate and detailed minutes at the RAB meetings, circulating actions and minutes within 5 working days of RAB meetings, acting as a central point of contact between the regional team and the national governance team in relation to information required from your region.
  • To provide administrative support for the organisation of ambassadorial advisory group (AAG) meetings within the region. This includes producing agendas for meetings, maintaining accurate minutes of meetings and communicating with members of the AAG.
  • Leading on HR administration within your region, including: recruitment to regional posts and the appointments of headteachers in the region, leading on ensuring DBS checks on all regional staff prior to appointment, issuing of appointment letters and contracts and maintenance of all regional staff records, arranging and co-ordinating comprehensive inductions for all regional staff.
  • Acting as the lead administrative co-ordinator for termly regional staff days (as a minimum) and working with the RED, DRED and ROD to establish a calendar of CPD staff training/focus days throughout the year. To keep in regular contact with E-ACT’s national governance team on the calendar and report on activities undertaken on a termly basis as a minimum.
  • Acting as the lead administrative co-ordinator for termly regional pupil events and working with the RED/DRED to establish a calendar of focussed events throughout the year.   • To lead on the communications within the region – celebrating the successes of the academies within the region, raising awareness of upcoming events, raising the profile of academies within the region and making all staff feel part of and contributing towards E-ACT’s mission through their region.
  • To act as clerk for all exclusions disciplinary committee meetings within your region, including the co-ordination of the pupil, parents, panel and LA lead in line E-ACT’s governance framework and (subject to relevant training) taking minutes of the meeting.
  • To act as a single point of contact between RED/DRED, ROD, the national team and the academies within the region, ensuring a continuous communication flow within the region up to the national team.
  • Assist RED/DRED and ROD in all administrative and general duties as required
