RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Permits are issued subject to the Council's right to cancel them immediately without compensation in the
event of any breach of regulations by the holder. All permits are renewable from 1st April each year.
2. The fishing season is year-round on all waters and competition pools (when no contest booked), except for Canal Pool
which is not available for pike fishing until 1st October.
3. The Council reserves the right to open or close any area of water in the park to anglers, to impose a ban on the use of
keep nets and to take any other measures for the efficient management of the Fishery.
4. Anglers must be in possession of a current permit or day ticket and an Environment Agency rod licence to fish with a
maximum of two rods from one peg. If you have two rod licences and a current permit, or two day tickets of the
same value, you can fish three rods from one peg.
5. Fishing permits/tickets and rod licences are not transferable and must be produced on request to any Officer of the
Authority.
6. Fishing is permitted only during displayed Park opening times. NO NIGHT FISHING.
7. All fish to be returned to the water as soon as possible after unhooking to cause the minimum amount of harm.
Unhooking mats and landing nets (minimum 3ft width) MUST used for carp and pike fishing.
8. Live-baiting will not be allowed on any waters. Killing of coarse fish for deadbait is prohibited.
9. Rods with line in the water must never be left unattended. To protect birds and wildlife, rods/poles set up but not in
use, should have bait removed from the hook.
10.Hooks larger than size 16 MUST be barbless, below size 16 MUST be micro barb. For treble hooks, 2 of the hooks
must be barbless (plug, spinners and spoons are excluded).
11. Prebaiting of any kind is NOT permitted anywhere on Warwickshire County Council's waters.
12. Anglers must take all discarded line, weights and rubbish home with them or use the bins provided. Any fouled line
must be reported to a Ranger.
13. In the interests of safety - NO WADING.
14. Bait boats are banned on all waters.
15. Pike gags are banned on all waters.
16. Subject to regulation 3, keep nets may be used. This excludes Canal and Pine (carp pools) and all pike fishing.
17. Anglers are allowed to fish only from permanent pegs and only one angler may fish from any one peg.
18. Pike fishing is available throughout the fishing season on all waters except Pine and Canal Pools (see regulations 2
and 20).
19. Swann and Causeway Pools - no permit or day ticket fishing when a contest is booked. Notices will be displayed
when a contest is booked.
20. Pine & Canal Pools (carp) - minimum line strength of 10lb, no pole fishing or spinning allowed, barbless hooks only
and no uncooked seed or nut baits. NO keep nets at any time. Pike fishing (dead bait only – see regulation 8) is
allowed from 1 October until 31 March inclusive.
21. A parking fee is payable by all persons entering the Park in a vehicle (except barrier pass holders).
22 The Council accepts no liability for loss of or damage to property resulting directly or indirectly from the granting of a
permit/ticket.
23. Any problems regarding the fishery should be reported to the Duty Ranger as soon as possible, please telephone

An Environment Agency rod licence and a day ticket entitles you to fish with two rods from one peg. If you have two rod licences, you can purchase two day tickets of the same value to fish three rods from one peg.
Day tickets are available from the Fishing Lodge located at the main entrance to the park (tickets are
not sold on the bank)
To access Pine Pool, Swann Pool, Causeway Pool, Mill Pool, Willows Pool and Bodymoor Heath Water, please use the main entrance barrier.
*The parking fee is £3.50 per car (you will need the correct change).
For Heron Pool, Kingfisher Pool, Gibsons Pool, Broomey Croft and Cliff Pool South, after purchasing your day ticket you will need to exit the park, turn right on to Bodymoor Heath Lane which takes you over the M42, then turn first right into Broomey Croft entrance. Follow the road into the park, past The Camping & Caravanning Club site on to the entrance barrier.

*Annual parking pass £42.00 (reduced price for disabled badge holders) plus £5.00 refundable deposit, available from the Information Centre or online www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks.
ANNUAL PERMITS
Regular anglers can purchase an annual permit to fish from 1st April to 31st March (except for Canal Pool which is not available for pike fishing until 1st October). A permit includes an annual parking pass, for which there will be an additional £5.00 refundable deposit.
Permits are available from the Information Centre (2 passport size photos required).
Coarse PermitThis permit entitles you to fish Bodymoor Heath Water, Broomey Croft, Cliff Pool South and Mill, Willows, Swann, Causeway, Heron, Kingfisher & Gibsons Pools. / £80.00 Adults
