5. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

PS David Rams raised the issue of Runcorn station and advised members that a significant number of resources have been deployed to the station. 2 arrests were made for class A drug possession. 1 arrested for money laundering. A person was also arrested for a public order offence. Deployments will continue throughout June to target this station. The other issue related to trespass just North of Runcorn station, Network rail dealing with a fencing issue.

Sandhills obstruction offences were also discussed. PS Rams explained that cycle units have been patrolling the area along with increased visibility. These deployments will continue.

PS David Rams explained that the Aigburth hub event was a great success with all agencies Merseyrail and Carlisle security. 3000 youths travelled with no reported disorder.

Northern Rail RPI checks to continue awaiting further dates from David Stinson + William Kimm.

Lee Phillips raised the issue of depot checks with his staff which have been a great success on the Wirral NPT Team. Dave Stinson has also suggested this for Northern Rail.Discussions to take place regarding dates for this

Matthew Street Festival was discussed members were advised of the robust policing operation which will be in place for the event
