Hall of Fame

1. Eligibility:

1. Nominee must be a graduate of Keansburg High School (must have attended for at least two years.)
2. Out of school for at least ten years.
3. Distinguished themselves in their chosen field after high school. (e.g. Armed Forces, Education, Law, Sports, Medicine, Public Service, etc.)
4. Person must be willing to accept the nomination at the Senior Sports Award Dinner, unless deceased.
5. Nominee must have earned at least two Varsity Letters. It is recommended nominee earned some type of Athletic Award other than varsity letters i.e. All Division, All Conference, All Shore, All State.

1. Nomination of Candidates:

1. Candidates for membership into the K.H.S. Hall of Fame shall be nominated in writing by anyone from the general public. Each nomination will include the name, address, phone number of the candidate; and, a statement of the candidate’s achievements. These achievements will be verified to the satisfaction of the committee before selection of a candidate becomes final. In addition, committee members can provide additional information about candidates with whom they are familiar.
2. Committee members will vote for candidates for membership into the Hall of Fame by assigning one of the following ratings:

• Excellent

• Above Average

• Average

• Does Not Meet Criteria

1. Once all of the voters have been tabulated, up to five candidates with the highest number of votes will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a dinner in June.
2. Candidates will only remain on the ballot for 5 years and then they must be nominated again.
3. Candidates are to be selected and notified of their selection by

May 15th of the present year.

The nomination forms will be distributed to local and school organization. Nominations will be accepted until April 15. All nominations will be reviewed by the committee and selections will be announced by May 15.

One form is attached to this letter and others may be obtained from the Athletic Director’s office at 787-2007 ext. 4240.
