About Ramtek:Ramtek is one of the important pilgrim center and tourist attraction of Maharashtra State. It has both mythological and historic importance. It is about 45 kms from Nagpur and is well connected by road and rail. It is a serene town abounding in scenic beauty and is free from noise and air pollution. Tourists from all over India come to visit Ramtek. It is hallowed by the feet of Lord Rama when he visited the ashram of the great sage Agastya on the hill nearby. It is at this holy place that Lord Rama took a vow to destroy the demons. Hence the place came to be known as Ramgiri or Ramtek. During the reign of Vakataka King in Vidarbha around 400 A.D the great poet Kalidasa visited Ramtek on a royal mission. Captivated by the idyllic atmosphere in and around Ramgiri, he gave expression to his famous epic Meghdootam. This fact is suitably commemorated by the Maharashtra State Government by erecting a monument on the hill where Kalidasa sat and conceived the great epic. Ramtek is basically a taposthala from time immemorial where great souls engaged themselves in the quest of enlightenment. The greatest of Buddhist philosophers and Indian alchemists Acharya Nagarjuna lived here. Chakradharaswamy of MahanobhavaPanth lived and meditated here about 600 years back. A famous Jain Temple is also erected at Ramtek.
A natural waterfall at Totladoh and an artificial lake at Khindsi are the chief tourist attractions around Ramtek. Industrial estates are also setup in and around Ramtek which are attracting leading organizations to setup their industries here. DCL Polysters, PennarAluminium, Suryalaxmi Group and Visakha Industries have already commenced production. Asia's biggest industrial estate is being setup at Butibori which is 80 km away and has a vast potential to offer ready employment opportunities.

About Institute:Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science(KITS) was established by Vodithala Education Society at Ramtek during the year 1985-86 at the behest of late P.V.NarasimhaRao,Ex PM of India and it has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and government of Maharashtra. KITS, Ramtek is affiliated to the RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. The Institute offers eight UG courses, seven in Engineering and one in Architecture. The Institute also offers PG courses in Business Administration (MBA) and Computer Application (MCA) and M.Tech in Structures, Electronics and Heat Power. KITS offers split PG programs in collaboration with UWE, Bristol, UK.The Institute has been accredited twice by NBA New Delhi and successively awarded 'A' grade by the government of Maharashtra. It has been recognized as a leading technological education provider in central India. The Alumni of KITS occupy reasonably good position in industries in India and overseas.

About Department: Mechanical Engineering Department is the largest Department of the Institute both in terms of intake of students and the size of teaching staff. Recently the Department has got accreditation by the N.B.A., A.I.C.T.E., and New Delhi Second Time for its consistent quality-seeking approach towards dissemination of high-level technical knowledge. Now the Department can also ask for funds for its ongoing and future research projects from government institutions. The total intake capacity per year of the department is 120 students. Apart from this 15 seats are available for first class diploma holders for admission directly into the second year. Due to the large number of students, classes are conducted in two sections to improve the effectiveness of teaching and for better teacher-student interaction. At the final year, free elective scheme is introduced as per the stipulations of the RTM Nagpur University. Under this scheme, a student may choose one subject from each of the three groups of electives. This scheme gives wider scope for students to opt for subjects of their choice.

The department also offer TWO year full-time Master program in HEAT POWERENGINEERING with intake capacity of 18 students, facilitates graduates diversifying into a wide range of specialties in the broad area of Thermal Energy.

About ISTE: The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education" in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education in the country.ISTE has an Executive Council at National level. It has active membership of more than 97286 technical teachers, 5,66,466 student members, more than 2345 institutional members (including IITs, IISc.., NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1166 faculty chapters and 1280 students’ chapters throughout the country. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations.

About IE: The Institution of Engineers (India) is the first professional body to represent India In several International Bodies, such as the World Mining Congress (WMC), the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), the Commonwealth Engineers' Council (CEC), the Federation Internationale du Beton (fib), and the Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA). The Institution of Engineers (India) functions with and amongst the professional engineers, academicians and research workers and provides a vast array of technical, professional and supporting services to the government and the industries along with the academic and engineering communities

Conference objectives & aims:This conference provides a unique opportunity, where the researchers, academicians and professional practitioners (and sponsors) meet to exchange their ideas and experiences on latest research developments and cutting edge technology and network with each other.

Keynote lecture and the invited talks by eminent researchers are arrange in the conference to explore newel areas of research to open new directions for the participants for undergoing research. Conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, face to face, establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaborations.
