ROCK THE BIKE, CLAN DYKEN and the GINGER NINJAS

LAYTONVILLE, California - The Gaia Festival is pleased to announce a new bicycle initiative for 2012, with two bike tours anyone can join coming to the festival from the north and south.

FROM THE SOUTH we have the Rock The Bike tour starting in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Bridge on Monday July 30th. They will be traveling approximately 43 miles a day through Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties ending up at the festival on the evening of August 2. This tour is being hosted by the folks at Rock The Bike.

FROM THE NORTH we have the Emerald Triangle Bike Music Tour starting on Monday July 23 at the site of the Trinity Tribal Stomp in Junction City, California. They will be traveling through Trinity, Humboldt, and Mendocino Counties arriving at the festival on Thursday, August 2. There will be many musical stops along the way, along with some spectacular camping in the wild and wonderful northern California Mountains. This tour is being hosted by members of Clan Dyken and the Ginger Ninjas.

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new stage this year, El Arbol. It's being provided by Rock the Bike, an organization of "bike" people from San Francisco. It's a bicycle powered stage featuring live music and some great aerialist performances. "Go Green" and join Rock the Bike on their bicycle ride from SF to the festival. We are also super excited to have the bay area's premier yoga center Yoga Tree SF sponsoring a series of yoga workshops throughout the weekend, workshop schedule to be announced in the coming weeks.

The festival is just a three hour drive north of San Francisco and two hours south of Arcata.TGF will include a series of connected villages and stages throughout the grounds featuring a wide array of workshops and presentations on sustainable living, social & environmental activism, alternative energy, green building technology, permaculture, healing arts, world-class theater, a kids’ area, plus premier onsite camping, and flowing creek, makes the annual TGFthe perfect place to enjoy a weekend with friends, family, and lovers of great music. There will also be plenty of great food & crafts provided by local non-profits and artisans featuring some of the north coast’s finest organic and sustainable products.

Black Oak Ranch is home to the Hog Farm and Camp Winnarainbow-a circus camp for kids and has hosted many world-class events over the years including,Earthdance – The Global Festival For Peace. TGFis fast becominga“destination festival”for music lovers with its extensive grounds covering approximately 150 acres.This is a “green festival” and the event is powered by biodiesel generators.

Springtime ticket pricing has been extended until the 19th of June and offers the best possible pricing for full festival tickets; with adult tickets priced at $185 and youth tickets (12 – 16 yrs. old) at $70. Full festival tickets include three nights of camping.

Single DAY tickets will be available beginning June 13th, with adult tickets priced at $80 and youth tickets (12 – 16 yrs. old) at $40.

Kids 11 & under are free (*must be accompanied by an adult). 12 - 16 Youth ticket price. 17 & older Adult ticket price.
