Job Description

Ambassador

  • Dedicate one year (April 2015-April 2016) to the K-State Proud Campaign. Co-Chairs will meet weekly for at least2 hours to plan and implement the Campaign.
  • Serve as the figurehead and spokesperson of the campaign in all marketing and publicity. This includes regular speaking engagements with student organizations, corporate partners, media, etc.

Project Manager

  • Strategically plan and implement a major philanthropic campaign at K-State, including event planning, marketing, and outreach to students and mobilizing student volunteers.
  • Manage K-State Proud student committees and volunteers to fulfill campaign objectives.

Developer

  • Cultivate the student leadership of the campaign and its volunteers. Co-Chairs are expected to meet bi-weekly with their additional leadership.
  • Lead the K-State Proud Advisory Board, a group of diverse student leaders from across campus, including Student Foundation Membership.

Qualifications

  • Must be in good standing with Kansas State University.
  • Must be able to commit significant time in fall 2015 and spring 2016 to the K-State Proud Campaign.
  • Must be willing to lead with a servant heart, visionary mind set, and a competitive edge.
  • Experience engaging diverse groups.
  • Must have at least a cumulative 2.8 GPA.

Notifications of an offer to interview will be issued by Thursday, April 9th at 8 p.m. Interviews will be scheduled for the evening of Sunday, April 12th from 3-6pm. Finalists will be required to present to Student Foundation for 3-5 minutes and then answer a series of prompts on Sunday, April 12th. Results will be delivered the evening of Monday, April 13th by the Student Foundation President and Executive Committee.
