Work Plan & Notes 2009-2010 / Elementary level Harcourt Reading series adopted 2007-2008. Harcourt materials represent the 3-tiered model for reading instructions. K-5 students receive instruction whole class and in small, guided reading groups. Secondary levels continue a study of guided reading. / Reading and writing are part of an integrated language arts program, especially after 2nd grade. Direct instruction of reading and writing strategies continues through all grades. Work on vertical alignment for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. / Adoption of core curriculum K-5: Investigations in Number and Data

Students work toward mastery of the SSD technology standards which can be found in Docushare.
