Environmental Policy

We are aware of the importance of environmental protection and understand how our activities my impact on the environment. Training, procedures and equipment used in the business have been designed to minimise damage to the environment as far as is possible and to enable us to achieve environmental objectives as follows:

·  Compliance with relevant regulations to protect the environment for future generations

·  Continual improvement of our environmental performance by review of all aspects of our activities to establish controls to reduce or eliminate adverse impact on the environment

·  Communicate and train our staff to ensure that this policy is understood and upheld throughout the organisation

·  Our Environmental Policy is available to interested parties outside our organisation

·  Prevent pollution of the environment arising from any of our activities or processes

·  Avoid waste of natural resources

·  Review our policies and systems to ensure they continue to be valid and effective

Controls applied to achieve this include:

·  Use of road recovery vehicles are used for operational and business purposes only

·  Effective capture, secure storage and correct disposal or recycling of all waste products

·  Vehicle selection, maintenance and controlled use to minimize the emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases

·  Recycling of oil, oil filters, brake fluid, absorbents, solvents in line with the Duty of Care Regulations with registered and licensed waste disposal suppliers. We have all copies of Waste Transfer Notes on file

·  Returning parts such as brake shoes, starters, alternators to be reconditioned and use of reconditioned units when appropriate

·  Housekeeping within the office and workshop to save electricity such as turning off lights, heating and equipment when not in use

We use our ISO9001/PAS43 certified management system and the requirements of legislation, codes and standards as the framework for ensuring that we continue to set and achieve our environmental objectives.
