1.  What is the purpose of the committee?

Short Term Goal:

Focus on specific projects that support the current direction of our club. The committee established two areas: 1. Hearing regeneration, 2. Youth & Families.

Long Term Goal:

The purpose of the committee is to research all possible sources of grants within Rotary, government and private sector and determine the scope of grants and types of projects that are supported by these grants. The committee’s main function is to research this information and propose it to the Board for review and direction.

2. What guidance have you received from the President and/or Director?

The committee was established by the President and the committee chair has met with the Director and President to establish a time line and plan of action.

3.  What is the planning and execution timelines? List the activity and the date when it should be accomplished.

August 2006 – Committee Chair met with President and

September 2006 – Committee Chair researches and prepares outline for member delegation

October 2006 – Meet with committee to discuss purpose, timelines, get input and assign additional research needed

November 10, 2006 – Provide written report to President with recommendations for the Board to approve

November 2006 – Board reviews written report and votes on grant projects to further pursue

November 2006 – Determine a plan and time line for grant submittal

The purpose of this committee is to research possible grants for service projects. It should be noted that approval and feasibility is determined by the Board of Directors.

Committee is researching three primary areas: Private, City/State/Federal, and Rotary District/International

Committee will assist in pursuing grants approved by Board of Directors.
