Group reports:
Friday women's: as always, could use more members
Tuesday baptist: about 40 regular attendees, eating meeting in December
LGBTQ meeting: planning to donate some money to Houston intergroup
Broad Highway: good attendance, recently had a very successful speaker meeting
Sunday 9:45: good attendance, no changes
Midwest: "Things are going well at the Midwest Group. We are planning our 20th anniversary meeting for the first Sunday in December. It will be a special format, more on that to come once details are final." from Nora's email
Old Business:
-October event
-Speaker is Heidi W.
-location: committing to Eastside recycling center because the forecast shows thunderstorms
-pulled pork and condiments from Hyvee for 50 people, Valerie will order it
-Carolyn will email the flyer with the meeting minutes
-someone needs to ask Mike C. if he has paper plates
-Nora will bring games, but we should ask everyone to bring what they have
-NYE event
-We were short on food last year, so we will order some this year.
-pizza: 3 cheese, 3 veg, 2 half and half, 12 meat combos
-sheet cake with chocolate and vanilla
-from Hyvee
-venue at Our Redeemer is already booked for that night until 1am
-will have to pay $70 (I think this is the right amount?) that night for clean up costs
-someone needs to ask IAYPAA for participation
-the speaker will be at 7pm so it is quiet during the church service upstairs
-the speaker will be a man, give suggestions to Valerie
-sign up sheet for volunteers
