Job Title:Young Person’s Outreach Worker

Requirements

A.Experience and Qualifications

/ Essential / Desirable
Education to degree level in relevant subject or have a relevant qualification and experience related to the post / 
A minimum of 1- 2 years experience of providing advice and support to clients in a community setting / 
Experience of supporting adolescents who have been at risk of early sexualisation, sexual exploitation, coercive and abusive relationships. / 
Experience of working within a multi-professional capacity / 
A high level of written and verbal presentation skills and ICT skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Email and PowerPoint. / 
Experience of facilitating group work and/or training programmes / 

B.Knowledge

/ Essential / Desirable
Understanding the needs of adolescents at risk of early sexualisation, sexual exploitation and coercive relationships / 
Knowledge of risk assessments and safety planning within the context of domestic abuse and sexual exploitation / 
A commitment to work in line with Choices Equality and Diversity Policy / 
Knowledge and Understanding of the issues of an abusive relationship. / 
Knowledge of legislation as it relates to the criminal or civil justice system in the context of domestic abuse and sexual exploitation / 
Basic Counselling skills / 
