Job Title:Weighbridge Supervisor

SUMMARY

To supervise the staff within the Weighbridge facility and ensure its smooth operation. Act as point of contact for customers. Responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations and regulations are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Direct traffic coming onto site and operate weighbridge.

•Check incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licence and permitted waste types.

•Accurately record weights & waste type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collect driver signatures etc.

•Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.

•Immediately report any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to site to the appropriate Manager.

•Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.

•Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.

•Ensure weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.

•Ensure that vehicles delivering to site have the correct paperwork and EWC codes.

•Ensure that vehicles have the necessary paperwork for forward movements from the site to destination.

•Compile compliance reports for materials in and out of the site.

•Ensure that the site diary for materials is kept up to date.

•Maintain housekeeping on the weighbridge (and general areas of the weighbridge) including the office in a clean, tidy and hazard free condition.

•Assist with general administrative duties and customer service.

•Ensure that all weighbridge staff are fully aware of their duties and have the necessary training. Train where appropriate.

•Ensure all reports/paperwork/contracts are in line with company procedures.

•Coordinate the booking in of loads collecting Materials from site.

•Ensure that the weighbridge is covered and attended during all opening times.

•Computer literacy ( Microsoft Excel , Word and Outlook or equivalent)

•Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE

•Weighbridge experience is essential.

•Waste management experience is preferable but not essential as training can be provided.
