Job Purpose: Supporting the Head of Organisation Design & Development to ensure SLC’s design and development policies, processes and guidance are adequately documented and appropriately aligned to business need. Developing and helping facilitate HR and manager sessions, to ensure consistency of understanding and approach.Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring SLC’s target operating model and organisation principles are appropriately documented and communicated
- Utilising the agreed approach, including HR policy, our target operating model and organisation design principles, develop a toolkit for managers leading redesign activity which provides an appropriate basis for the development and approval of any proposed redesign business cases and resulting change activity
- Developing and managing appropriate quality assurance and governance mechanisms in support of organisation redesign
- Providing support for senior/sensitive design and development interventions
- Through engagement with HR and managers to identify and support the development appropriate materials to support organisation design and development activity (depending on the nature of the activity this may be led by HR or OD&D)
- In conjunction with communication colleagues, to generate appropriate communication materials to support OD&D understanding and compliance, as well as to provide appropriate and tailored business updates
- Work closely with relevant HR colleagues to ensure they are able to work in accordance with documented approach to redesign in particular and that adequate records are maintained
- Provide general support for the implementation of project activities to deliver appropriate Organisation Design and Development solutions for specific business areas and/or across SLC
- Promote activities which allow managers and HR colleagues to understand the change process and ensure that continuous improvement focus becomes the norm
- Directly or with relevant colleagues, provide OD&D support and education to managers and HR
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications- Relevant degree or business qualification
- Experience developing process and guidance materials
- Experience delivering as team, including providing advice and guidance to line managers/staff
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive data with absolute discretion
- IT literate, ideally with experience in Oracle HR and MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic self-starter, who is able to work independently
- Organised and methodical, able to prioritise
- Organisation Design, Development or HR qualification
- Good understanding of SLC's different functions and how they work together
- Experience of facilitating meetings, presenting materials and influencing change in complex environment
