The Celtic Manor Resort’s Evergreen childcare facility which is based within the beautiful surroundings of this luxury five-star resort are looking for a Childcare Manager. Top of Form
Our aim is to create a dynamic day care setting and provide a safe, happy and nurturing approach to childcare. The children in our care will receive stimulation and develop from our ethos of a play-based approach to learning through positive experiences.
As the Childcare Manager, you will always ensure that you provide a safe, fun and friendly environment for all children whilst delivering the highest standard of care and maintaining a customer focused environment always ensuring child safety as a priority.
You will be overseeing a team with the day to day management of the childcare setting along with our Nanny Service, Dylans Den and all childcare within the Resort by motivating, supervising and mentoring the team and ensuring smooth running within all areas of the childcare setting. You must beconfident, driven and passionate about childcare. You will also be a flexible team player, and have a positive and bright personality. Experience of managing a team and a NVQ Level 3 is essential and working towards Level 5.
In your role you will create a relaxed environment that encourages all round development including comforting, encouraging, motivating, promoting equality in relation to children and team members whilst ensuring a safe, healthy and hygienic facility remains of utmost importance. This role includes being on call and various hours over 7 days a week depending on business needs.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential as your responsibilities will include developing a committed team of childcare professionals along with budgeting, recruiting, training and marketing. You will be a professional, organised, flexible and responsible manager who is standards driven and has the ability to lead by example.
Hours of work:
40 hours per week over 5 days and includes being on call and various hours over 7 days a week depending on business needs.
Essential requirements:
NVQ Level 3 working towards NVQ Level 5
Working in the same role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
