- Q & A (All)
The following questions were asked:*
Q: How does Kucera acquire oblique imagery?
A:Kucera uses GeoVista to acquire oblique imagery. It utilizes a 4-way camera similar to, but not as well known, as the Pictometry method. Kucera uses a GeoSpan camera from their own aircraft. The resulting imagery doesn't have use restrictions on it like Pictometry products.
Q:Will oblique imagery be acquired as part of the DRAPP 2012 project?
A:No.
Q: If local jurisdictions have GCPs or bridge points should they provide them to the Imagery Acquisition or DAT vendor?
A:All data should be provided to DRCOG first and then DRCOG will distribute it to
the appropriate vendor.
Q:What is the timeline for web mapping services to be available?
A:Imagery will be available in the WMS 4-5 days after delivery to the DAT vendor.
Q:Will the WMS work with ArcGIS versions 9.0 and 10.0?
A:As long as the software has WMS compatibility, the WMS will work regardless of version. If participating members do not have WMS compatible software, IntraSearch will provide access to free, downloadable software that allows the imagery to be streamed to the client.
