JOB SUMMARY:

Manage day to day the responsibilities associated with the scale, including all paper work and system entries associated with shipments to our paper mill, and invoicing of loads for BPI clients. Also assist in coordinating in-bound truck logistics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·  To operate the scale and keep records of all entries.

·  All inbound and outbound SAP entries.

·  Make cash payment for scale buyback business.

·  Daily reconciliation of scale petty cash.

·  Assist with month-end closing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates in business related field or two to four years experience in a business clerical or accounting related field or a combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence and reports for internal company dissemination and for external customer communication. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must speak, read and write Spanish fluently.

A short essay on a work-related subject will be required of all applicants.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid NM drivers’ license. Provide current certificate of automobile insurance coverage and provide DMV printout evidencing a clean driving record.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to operate “windows-based” word-processing programs and Excel spreadsheet program at intermediate proficiency. Able to construct forms and documents with appropriate layout and formatting. Ability to work in a multi-task environment; job description calls for the performance of a number of tasks, many tasks to be performed concurrently. Ability to function independently without recourse to direct supervision. Supervisor is often absent for extended periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job; the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit; use hands and fingers; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. Required reaching with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Specific job duties which require the above-noted physical demands are deskwork; walking at work site and vendor work sites; communicating with fellow employees, customers and vendors; computer input.

Must be able to walk through rough terrain (i.e. customer’s yards and collection sites).

Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle.

Typical physical requirements of an office environment are present: movement around office and/or complex, utilize copy and fax machines; multi-story office complex requiring walking/climbing; and conferencing with other employees in their separate offices.

Typical physical requirements are present for workstation and computer entry work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job:

Specific job duties, which are affected by the environmental conditions noted above, are travel via car to vendor sites throughout the year in all weather; work in an office setting using a computer and telephone.

SAFETY:

Required to observe all office safety rules and regulations (including, but not limited to):

-Observe all safe driving rules and regulations.

-Perform brief safety inspections before operating a vehicle.

-Required to observe all safety rules and regulations when working or moving about the Plant.

-When performing computer work, observe frequent rest periods, utilize wrist and arm rests. Verify illumination is correct.

-required to use all ergonomic safety guards provided for workstation;

-aisles and work area around incumbent to remain clean and free of trip hazards;

-all file drawers to be kept closed when unattended;

-all electrical equipment must be properly grounded;

-report any equipment malfunctions and/or lighting problems immediately to the Controller;
