Responsible To:
Liaison With:Local Authority Officers, LSA Members, Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport, School Sport and Physical Activity Networksand other local delivery agencies.
Job Purpose:
- To support the delivery of the following work areas:
- Young People Participation
- Volunteering in Sport
- School Sport
- Physical Activity & Health
- To assist specific projects, programmes, initiatives to be delivered by Local Sport Alliances on time and on budget, including contributing towards key targets/outputs.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Young People Participation (11-25):
Satellite Club Programme
•Ensure that every secondary school and college in the area/district has the opportunity to host a satellite club.
•Work with schools, colleges, local authorities and other community deliverers to identify suitable satellite host venues
•Support National Governing Bodies to map schools, local clubs and their requirements.
•Match supply and demand to help ensure that the needs of both the hub club and satellite venue are met.
Sportivate
- Support the delivery of the Sportivate programme.
- Assist in the collation of Sportivate registers and input them online.
- To promote ideas for future projects.
School Sport:
- Assist the School Sport & Physical Activity Networks to deliver the School Games competitions.
- Provide support to school teams.
- Support schools in finding volunteers to help out at competitions.
Physical Activity & Health:
- Support the School Sport and Physical Activity Networks and/or Local Authorities to deliver physical activity programmes.
Other:
- Any other tasks appropriate with the nature and grading of the post that may be assigned by the LSA.

Degree in a relevant area
