Job Title: Surveillance Lead / PT Pay Rate: N/A
Reports to: Assistant Director / Date: 5/31/2016
Purpose Of The Job: To enter the Defendant’s residence or work place and ensure compliance with the Court’s written order. To ensure all members of the Surveillance Team are trained to perform duties, are current on training, and additional administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1.  Coordinates and conducts eligibility interviews
2.  Ensures all search procedure and detention agreement documents are in order
3.  Coordinates a pre-inspection process of residence to ensure the standards of appropriate housing are established while under supervision
4.  Presents interview notes to the interview committee
5.  Participates in an “on call” rotation and answers calls 24hours a day
6.  Assist/responds to offender crisis’ that occur in the field
7.  Completes daily contact reports and incident reports
8.  Ensure Surveillance Team Members are trained properly and coordinates firearms qualifications
9.  Assist case managers by addressing compliance issues
10. Responsible for scheduling surveillance shifts
11. Serves on the Discipline Hearing Board
12. Address disciplinary matters with subordinates
13. Ensure all gear, property, and vehicles belonging to the Surveillance Team are maintained and operations ready
14. Facilitates communication between part time surveillance staff and office personnel
15. Updates daily shift with schedule entry changes and maintains accurate participant schedule reports for daily shifts
16. Ensures Standard Operating Procedures and policies are up to date and adhered to with regard to surveillance responsibilities
17. Conduct Performance Evaluations on all Surveillance Team Members
18. Closely monitor compliance of program rules and any special conditions ordered by the court by making home and work visits on a frequent but random basis.
19. Conduct drug screens as needed and maintain the chain of custody
20. Testify in court as needed
21.  Track vehicle mileage with proper documentation for IDOC audits.
22.  Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Experience working with criminal offenders, Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement background preferred, ILEA firearms qualified, 40 hour ILEA Pre-Basic Course Qualified, Must possess a valid Indiana Drivers License, Must pass a national criminal background check, High school graduate / GED
Skills and Abilities: Understand and use the principles of evidenced based practices as a guide in interactions with program participants.
