Funding and Data Administrator (ESF)

Reports to: Funding and Data ESF Team Leader

The job purpose:

  • Ensuring all ESF funding and data performance targets are met

JOB ROLE

  1. Support ESF funding and data requirements (internal and partner delivery), ILR, compliance, evidence, files, audit requirements for ESF contracts
  1. Plan, develop and co-ordinate workload delivery to ensure ESF funding and data requirements are met in a timely manner.
  1. Develop and maintain a proactive and professional relationship with SFA, other funders, employers, delivery partners and colleagues.
  1. Assist in the marketing and promotion of your department to both internal and external agencies to ensure that the profile is increased both locally and nationally.
  1. Ensure you have undertaken all mandatory training and have regular CPD.
  1. Any other duties, as required, appropriate to the grade of the post.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with the College’s HR policies and the Health & Safety policy, at all times.
  • Support the College’s commitment to carrying out its functions with a view to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

What will you need to be able to do the job?

Skills, Knowledge and Aptitudes

  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge and understanding of data and compliance
  • Knowledge of FE/apprenticeship/ESF processes and contracts
  • Well organised and able to follow systems and procedures
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Health and Safety
  • Demonstrates the ability to work successfully with diverse teams
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Presentation skills
  • Demonstrate the aptitude for embracing change
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own time
  • Excellent ability to handle, process and interpret data in both data and graphical form
  • Possess excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and to deadlines and possess a sense of urgency

Qualifications & Training

  • Vocational qualification at level 2 or above
  • Maths & English at level 2
  • IT skills at level 2

Experience

  • Up to date experience in data handling and compliance issues
  • Familiar with ESF
  • Audit experience
  • Familiar with ESF/College documentation and quality procedures
  • Have experience of contributing towards successful projects

  • Committed to quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work under pressure and hit tight deadline dates

Special requirements

  • References which are satisfactory to the College
  • Medical Clearance
  • DBS Clearance which is satisfactory to the College
  • Evidence of qualification certificates
  • Flexibility as some early/late/night shift work to support learners would be required
  • Due to the nature of the role, frequent travel to and from employer premises may be required so a flexible approach to travel and work location is required
  • Due to the nature of the role there may be the need for national travel and overnight stays
