Mrs. Kittinger’s Behavior Syllabus-ART

Expectations:

1.  Arrive in class on time, and follow directions.

2.  Clean up your personal space

3.  Follow the 10/10 rule

4.  Respect your classroom, peers, and the work of others.

5.  Make good choices. (You are the one responsible for your actions and decisions).

6.  Stay off Netflix, social media, and avoid other distractions during class. You may listen to music.

Guidelines of Success:

1.  Please exhibit a good attitude and try your best in the classroom.

2.  Ask for help, but also try to problem solve independently.

3.  Participate in class, stay on task, and try to enjoy creating art.

4.  Use your technology to help you. Investigate in research when appropriate. No social media, Netflix, games, or other distractions.

5.  Assignments are weekly if you should finish early-paint or draw something that interests you. You should be making art at all times-it contributes to your participation grade.

What should I do if I finish an assignment early?

There will be a sketchbook/participation grade. (Refer to #5)

Possible Corrective Consequences:

If the previously listed expectations are violated you will receive:

·  A verbal warning

·  Loss of participation points in class

·  A different seat in the classroom (location change)

·  Call home to your parent or guardian

·  Disciplinary Referral

***All students are expected to pay a $10 class fee this helps ensure that the student will have enough materials throughout the trimester.
