(1)General Project Grant

(a) Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment for the Pediatric Hospital "Mother Teresa" of University Center of Tirana (392 million yen, FY2000)

(b) Project for Improvement of Medical Equipment on South Regional and District Hospital of Albania (233 million yen, FY2004)

(2)Increase of Food Production / Grant Assistance for Underprivileged Farmers (2KR)

2KR has been provided on 5 occasions (FY1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003) to Albania. The total amount of this aid is 1.69 billion yen.

(3)Non-Project Grant Aid (NPGA)

NPGA has been provided twice (FY1999, 2000) with the total amount of 1.1 billion yen.

(NPGA is foreign currency support to secure payments for imports of goods that are urgently needed in order to adjust the economic structure in accordance with a plan agreed between IBRD/IMF and a recipient country).

(4)Emergency Aid

(a) Humanitarian aid to support Albanian citizens hit by the collapse of the pyramid banking schemes (72 million yen through ICRC, FY1997)

(b) Aid for monitoring the general election (14 million yen through OSCE, FY1997)

(c) Aid for Albanian citizens who have sustained damage from floods

(tents, blankets, water purifiers, electric power generator ; 14 million yen, FY2002)
