Americaneagle.com can implement our own branded Multimedia Station or utilize your own Multimedia Station. This will allow you to provide your visitors with a one-stop-shop for all streaming media on the website including audio and video. Streaming media would be an ideal means for providing information from various channels in an organized and structured format to maximize your users viewing experience.

FEATURES OF THE MULTIMEDIA STATION INCLUDE:

Channels: The Customer will be able to add/edit/delete channels and categories at any time. These channels could be used for specific internal departments, different locations, etc.

If you are interested in video editing services please let us know as we do offer this service but it must be priced out on a case by case basis. The media clips could be converted to stream at a maximum of 400Kbps for video and 128Kpbs for audio clips. Media to be encoded must be provided to Americaneagle.com on DVD, as a digital file through email or FTP, on CD, Cassette, VHS, BetaCam SP, MiniDV, Beta, or another format if approved by Americaneagle.com.
Streaming Media Usage Examples:
Example 1: One 5 minute file with 300 viewers per month – 4.19 GB || TIER 1
If you encode (1) one 5 minute flash video file at 400kbps for your viewers, the resulting streaming file will have a size of about 20 MB. Each time an end-user watches your 20 MB video clip all the way through, 20 MB of data transfer occurs across our network. If 10 viewers watch your 20 MB streaming clip all the way through, 143 MB (0.1397 GB) of data transfer occurs across our network.
(400,000 ÷ 8) x 300 seconds x 10 = 150,000,000 bytes = 143.05115 MB = 0.1397 GB
Over the course of the month if you had 10 viewers per day viewing your file for 30 days (300 viewers) you would use 4291.53 MB (4.19095 GB) of data transfer for this one file.
(400,000 ÷ 8) x 300 seconds x 300 = 4,500,000,000 bytes = 4291.53442 MB = 4.19095 GB
This would put you in the ‘Tier 1’ pricing bracket if you only had this one file on your site.
Example 2: One 3 minute file with 1500 viewers per month – 12.57 GB || TIER 1
If you have 1500 viewers (50 users a day for 30-day) watching a 400-Kbps Flash Video clip which has a file size of about 18 MB for an average duration of (3) three minutes, our Flash Media Server would have streamed around 12.572 GB of data:
(400,000 ÷ 8) x 180 seconds x 3,000 = 13,500,000,000 bytes = 12874.60 MB = 12.57285 GB
This would put you in the ‘Tier 2’ pricing bracket if you only had this one file on your site.
Example 3: One 30 second Homepage file with 10,000 visits per month – 13.96 GB || TIER 1
If you have 10,000 visitors to your site a month watching a 400-Kbps Flash Video clip which has an average duration of (30) thirty seconds, our Flash Media Server would have streamed around 13.96 GB of data:
(400,000 ÷ 8) x 30 seconds x 10,000 = 15,000,000,000 bytes = 14305.11 MB = 13.96984 GB
This would put you in the ‘Tier 2’ pricing bracket if you only had this one file on your site.

Kbps (Kilobits Per Second):
Stands for "Kilobits Per Second." This term is commonly used in describing data transfer rates. For example, two common video speeds are 300 Kbps and 500 Kbps.
MB:Megabyte
A megabyte is 2 to the 20th power, or 1,048,576 bytes.
It can be estimated as 10 to the 6th power, or one million (1,000,000) bytes. A megabyte is 1,024 kilobytes and precedes the gigabyte unit of measurement. Large computer files are typically measured in megabytes. For example, a high-quality JPEG photo from a 6.3 megapixel digital camera takes up about 3MB of space. A four minute CD-quality audio clip takes up about 40MB of space and CDs can hold up to 700MB of space.
GB: Gigabyte
A gigabyte is 2 to the 30th power, or 1,073,741,824 bytes.
It can be estimated as 10 to the 9th power, or one billion (1,000,000,000) bytes. A gigabyte is 1,024 megabytes and precedes the terabyte unit of measurement. Hard drive sizes are typically measured in gigabytes, such as a 160GB or 250GB drive. The term gigabyte is often abbreviated as simply a "gig" in speech. For example, if you have a 250GB hard drive, you could say, "I have 250 gigs of disk space." The prefix "giga" comes from the Greek word "gigas," meaning giant.
Bitrate:
Bitrate, as the name implies, describes the rate at which bits are transferred from one location to another. In other words, it measures how much data is transmitted in a given amount of time. Bitrate is commonly measured in bits per second (bps), kilobits per second (Kbps), or megabits per second (Mbps). For example, a DSL connection may be able to download data at 768 kbps, while a Firewire 800 connection can transfer data up to 800 Mbps.
Bitrate can also describe the quality of an audio or video file. For example, an MP3 audio file that is compressed at 192 Kbps will have a greater dynamic range and may sound slightly more clear than the same audio file compressed at 128 Kbps. This is because more bits are used to represent the audio data for each second of playback. Similarly, a video file that is compressed at 3000 Kbps will look better than the same file compressed at 1000 Kbps. Just like the quality of an image is measured in resolution, the quality of an audio or video file is measured by the bitrate.
