It S All About Me Pamphlet

It S All About Me Pamphlet

“It’s All About Me” Pamphlet

Using an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper, create an informational pamphlet that is all about you! In this pamphlet, you are required to include:

  • Cover Page (5 points):
  • Current picture of you. If there are others in the picture, please make sure you identify yourself clearly.
  • A collage of your favorite things and people around your picture. The pictures in your collage may be computer animated, hand-drawn, or from magazines, but should vary and give me a complete idea of who you are (i.e. I don’t want 100 pictures of the Jonas Brothers).
  • A title for your pamphlet that includes (at least) your first name and is creative. “Ms. Natividad’s Pamphlet” or “It’s All About Ms. Natividad” are neither creative nor interesting titles.
  • Quote Page (5 points):
  • Your favorite quote. This quote may be something you and your friends say, or a quote from someone famous; either way, it has to be important to you. Quotes from songs work too!
  • Illustrate your quote. See “Shoot for the Moon” poster for example.
  • Briefly explain your quote. In 2-3 sentences explain why you chose it and what it means to you. These should be complex, well articulated sentences.
  • Acrostic Poem (5 points):
  • Write an acrostic poem using your first name (last name is optional). The words or phrases you use must describe you and be complex adjectives: “nice” isn’t going to cut it.
  • Extra Credit – your average acrostic poem includes adjectives that describe who you are. For extra credit, weave your name into the poem using phrases that tell a story of who you are and/or plan to be.
  • Statistics (5 points):
  • Your first and last name must be listed at the top of this page.
  • Include your answers for at least 5 of the following categories: Nickname(s), Date of Birth, Age, Best Friends, Favorite Food(s), Favorite Holiday(s), Favorite Color(s), Favorite Sport(s), Hobbies, and Siblings. If you think of one I have not listed, just ask!
  • “About Me” Article (10 points):
  • Using the Jane Schaffer writing method (2-chunk preferred!!!), write two paragraphs detailing where you plan to be in 30 years. You must be creative since you have no way of knowing where the next 30 years will take you. A handout will be provided to guide you through your paragraphs.
  • Neatness & Creativity (5 points)

The above five pages should be organized in the following manner:

Front view when paper is opened completely:

Quote Page
(contains full-page, completely colored illustration) / “About Me” Article
(typed or very neatly written in ink … no pencil!) / Acrostic Poem
(typed or very neatly written in ink, marker, or colored pencil … this page should be very colorful!)

Back view when paper is opened completely:

Statistics
(typed or completed in ink … no pencil! List the category AND your answer(s)) / LEAVE BLANK / Cover Page
(with current picture, collage of pictures or you and your interests, and a title)
