WHO MAY APPLY: For Merit Announcements, eligibility is limited to personnel currently in the Minnesota Army National Guard who are serving Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) tours. Current AGRs must have a minimum of 18 months in the program to be eligible for reassignment.

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Applicants must currently hold the rank of SSG/E-6. (IAW NGR 600-25, grade inversion within the full-time workforce is not permitted. Military grade of the supervisor must equal/exceed grade of personnel supervised).

REMARKS: PCS Available. EPS Control # 13-067-E6. Upon selection, individual must be or become MOS/AOC qualified within twelve (12) months of appointment, with the exception of deployed Soldiers who will have an additional 12 months.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of this position is to support the unit in meeting mission requirements by increasing the unit readiness by performing typing, clerical, personnel management, and administrative support to the unit of assignment. Provides administrative support for the unit of assignment. Must be able to type military and non-military correspondence, messages, orders, reports, forms, requisitions, directives, SOPs and similar material. Proof reads finished copy, corrects as necessary and assembles for review, signature, authentication, or other disposition. Maintains unit administrative functional files. Advises other full-time support personnel on requirements for maintaining functional files in their areas. Completes cross training by becoming familiar with and occasionally performing duties of other full-time support positions assigned to the unit. Prepare/review of DA Form 1379 (Unit Record of Reserve Training). Responsible for preparation and submission of all payrolls, payroll inquiries, and incentive payments. Responsible for completion and submission of all required unit/individual personnel actions and financial records. Advises unit commander and other key personnel on current regulations and policies pertaining to the enlisted personnel management system. Maintains and manages the unit mail management program. Performs all other duties as assigned. Works under the supervision of the unit senior full-time support person of that unit to which assigned. Technical guidance is furnished by the administrative personnel at battalion level. Day-to-day work is performed without constant supervision consistent with established policies and mission priorities. Work is subject to review for acceptability and adherence to instructions and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
