Installation and support of Novell and Windows servers, Windows workstations and specialized software. Approximately 15 plus servers, using OS’s ranging from Novell Netware 5 to Windows servers running NT, 2000, 2003 and 2008. During my time at GPI virtually all of the servers employed were installed and maintained by myself. Administration of user accounts, user groups, email system, program and data directories; approximately 500 plus user accounts in varying departments and of varying levels of security and computer experience. Application of Microsoft Active Directory components to deploy printers and applications based on AD Group membership. Training and demonstrations for new PC users and for upgraded software systems. Evaluation and testing of systems and software.

Skills

I am a talented designer and artist. I am familiar with a wide variety of computer hardware, operating systems, and applications (including Microsoft Office 97 through 2007, Windows Server NT through 2008, and Windows 95 through Vista) and peripherals (including scanners, digital cameras, sound recorders and many others).

My people skills are very good; my employer has benefited from my ability to put all levels of computer users at ease in front of a PC. I have frequently been praised by department heads for helping their employees use their systems more effectively.

My ability to extrapolate and imagine from a situation has also been of benefit to my employers when faced with unexpected situations.
