Data Director Update:
- We now have re-worked it so all future cardiovascular endurance assessments will not auto-fill
- Teachers will need to re-enter testing period 2 cardio-vascular endurance data in newly made DD assessments.
BMI Testing!!!
- Andrea has met with Megan Sundstrom
- Meagan is a college Junior helping Professor Susi with the BMI project.
- Megan is hoping to meet with two schools a week from now until Apri 18th
- P.E. teachers- please e-mail Megan to tell her the time of day your classes meet and what days of the week will be best for you and she will coordinate
PEP UP Updates
- Next testing window begins March 18
- If you need to start a week early, feel free to do so
- Please remember to have your students click “done” at the end of their 3 day PAR and fruit and veggie survey otherwise that data can’t be entered
- Baseline data- K-4 pedometers 7% of students are proficient district wide, PACER 65.5% proficient, Fruit and Veggie consumption, 35%
- For 5-12 data 9.5% proficient in pedometer, 62% proficient in PACER
- All data on individual schools will be provided on ISD website
- The EUP have been given the opportunity to pilot brain breaks for K-5 teachers
Data Entry
- Data entry of cardiovascular endurance test
- Re-entry of 5-12 data
AAHPERD/NASPE
- We will be providing a NASPEworkshop on June 26-28
- Stipend will be offered as well as clock hours
- Please RESERVE THOSE DATE IN YOUR CALENDARS!
Curriculum IDEAS
- Have students do fitness warm ups and at the end of a six week period students create graphs on their progress
- Should we integrate HOPSports into that?
- Secondary and Elementary separate and review current curriculum and make changes
