Total for both: $22,932.64
- 145 dues have already been paid for 2006 as of February 28th.
The Board
- There is still currently 1 (one) board position open
Roofing
- A resident on 45th Ave SE has violated Section 7.1 of the Autumn Meadows Homeowners Association CC&R’s and Bylaws, which states “All dwellings shall have shake roofs unless written permission is obtained from the Architectural Committee.” The resident applied a low-grade roofing material that was not approved by the board.
Action: A letter is being drafted by our attorney,Kari,at Bell & Ingram in Everett to the resident. The draft to be sent to Ed on Wednesday, March 22, 2006.
Landscaping
- The last bill from Green Goddess was almost $1,400.00 and was broken down to 4 (four) areas. The one we need clarification on is the $144.00 for a dump fee for limbs from the Common Park that fell during the windstorm over Super Bowl weekend.
- Ed made the motion to seek other landscaping companies and get bids due to the rising cost of Green Goddess and Sam Bateman seconded the motion and all were in favor.
Action:
- Shanda to post on website a notice to Autumn Meadows homeowners to see if anyone knows any landscaping companies that would be interested in taking on the landscaping needs of Autumn Meadows common areas and other pieces of land.
Drive-Thru’s
- This continues to be a major problem for Autumn Meadows and the neighboring development Pioneer Trails.
- The board has decided to get some bids for large rocks/boulders to be placed in the common area (park) to prevent more drive thru’s.
- It was decided that we need roughly 100 – 3 (three) man boulders/rocks spaced no more than 4 (four) feet apart on the east and west sides of the park and no more than 6 (six) inches away from the edge of the grass/sidewalk.
- Larry contacted Rockworks in Clearview and has not received a phone call back, but anticipates receiving a return phone call soon.
- It is also a possibility of using flat rocks as opposed to round boulders/rocks because flat rocks would look better and are harder to pick up and roll.
- It was decided that surveillance camera’s may not be the way to go due to the fact that even with photo’s, we would not be able to do anything.
Action: Larry to continue to contact various landscaping/rockery companies to get some estimates on placing boulders/rocks in the common area park. Shanda has also done some inquiring via email to several local area companies and is waiting for responses.
Email Follow-Up
- An email was received on the Autumn Meadows email account from Ann Johnson that reads…”My husband and I are thinking of doing a small addition to the back of our home. Will this need to be approved and if so what info do you need and where would I need to send it? Once received how long until an approval will be received?”
Action:Ed to contact Ann Johnson in regards to this issue.
- There was an email sent by Autumn Meadows resident on Monday, February 13th who lives on 45th Ave SE in regards to a resident on 46th (east of 45th) indicating that their kids were not to play on the easement under the power lines.
Action:Ed contacted the resident and indicated that she needed to contact the title company to find out who owns what as far the as the easement goes. The board has not received any more emails/phone calls regarding this situation.
Architectural Committee Issues
- Pioneer Trails has a form that is required to be filled out for alterations/roofing
- It has been decided that because of recent and current issues, the board needs a more structured way of dealing with requests for alterations/roofing. The board will be adopting a similar form to Pioneer Trails for requesting Alterations/Roofing in the very near future.
Action:On Wednesday, March 22, 2006, Shanda emailed the link for forms and CC&R’s on the Pioneer Trails website.
