ORDINANCE 2007-1283-E

AN ORDINANCE AMENDINGSECTION 123.102 (FEES ESTABLISHED), ORDINANCE CODE, TO AMEND EXISTING, AND TO ESTABLISH NEW FEES TO BE CHARGED BY THE DUVAL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Chapter 154, Florida Statutes, authorizes the local jurisdiction to establish public health service fees; and

WHEREAS, the Consolidated City of Jacksonville has entered into a contract with the State of Florida Department of Health; and

WHEREAS, the Consolidated City of Jacksonville of Duval County, Florida, in order to expand existing public health services to the community at large, finds it appropriate to establish such fees and revise them as needed from time to time; and

WHEREAS, the current fee and service schedule is in need of revision in order to accurately reflect services and charges offered as directed under the revised Florida Administrative Code; and

WHEREAS, except as provided by law, fees remain in the Consolidated City of Jacksonville to help offset the cost of public health services, and

WHEREAS, the Consolidated City of Jacksonville has determined that the fees and charges hereinafter specified are reasonable; and

WHEREAS, a breakdown of the proposed revenues to be generated by this Ordinance is on file with the Legislation Services Division; now therefore

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Consolidated City of Jacksonville:
