RESOLUTION 2016-498

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE MAYOR’S appointment of Christian Harden, a Duval County resident, to the Downtown Development Review Board, pursuant to Section 656.361.7, Ordinance Code, as a contractor, developer or realtor representative, REPLACING greg P. Bruce, for a partial term to expire June 30, 2017; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Section 656.361.7, Ordinance Code, provides that the Downtown Development Review Board membership consist of one contractor, developer or realtor who does work within the downtown area and three downtown property owners or owners of or full time employees at a business or professional office as defined in Part 16 of Chapter 656, located within the downtown area; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 2014-602-A confirmed the appointment of Greg P. Bruce as a Downtown property owner representative on the Downtown Development Review Board; and

WHEREAS, the Administration has selected Christian Harden to replace Greg P. Bruce on the Downtown Development Review Board; and

WHEREAS, Christian Harden will fill the category of contractor, developer or realtor representative which is presently filled by Rafael Caldera, Resolution 2014-371-A; and

WHEREAS, the Administration has filed legislation, Resolution 2016-499, reappointing Mr. Caldera with the reclassification of the category for Rafael Caldera from the contractor, developer or realtor representative to the Downtown property owner representative; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Jacksonville:

Section 1. Appointment Confirmed. The Council hereby confirms the Mayor’s appointment of Christian Harden, a Duval County resident, to the Downtown Development Review Board, pursuant to Section 656.361.7, Ordinance Code, as a contractor, developer or realtor representative, replacing Greg P. Bruce, for a partial term to expire June 30, 2017.

Section 2. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective upon signature by the Mayor or upon becoming effective without the Mayor’s signature.
