'Angry atheist's' Facebook attack on Ken Ham

Ken Ham, co-founder of the Creation Museum, was recently shocked to learn that an atheist had placed pornographic images, extreme profanity and vile statements about Christianity on his Facebook page.
Creation Museumspokesman Mark Looy sees the web as a wonderful tool for Christians, but he says many critics of the gospel and those who hate Christian ministries are using social networking sites like Facebook to promote their own agenda.
"In this instance, we know who the person is who went to Ken Ham's Facebook page, [and] we know who his employers are," Looy reports. "The employer's code of conduct indicates what this individual did was against their policy, and I hope they'll take the appropriate action."
The Patriot Update identifies the guilty party as Bob Seashols, a coordination center officer for the Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) at Richmond International Airport who is also an administrator for Atheists United's Facebook page.
Looy points out that so-called "angry atheists" and other secular humanists have become much more aggressive with their attacks against ministries that proclaim the Bible, "but you'd think some modicum of decency would prevail amongst even some of the angry atheists --[that they would] not...resort to using vile language...horrible images and ad hominem attacks [but] just present their arguments in at least a civil manner."This situation, however, provides evidence that courtesy is not always a factor.
Much Ado About NothingByDaniel H. Harris, Ph.D.
`The physics of Nature is accurately portrayed in the Holy Bible, for the author Is Truth. In many instances that portrait is unseen by its readers, since many view the Bible only as a spiritual Book. The Holy Bible is much more. God’s Word is a comprehensive description of reality and enduring Truth. Therefore, we can dig in this gold mine for treasure others have not seen.
In this presentation we will limit ourselves to one important idea: “Jesus is The Light.” [John 1:3-5, John 1:9-10, John 8:12, John 9:5, John 12:36, John 12:46, Psm 27:1, Psm 36:9, Psm 43:3, Psm 104:1-2, Psm 119:105, Prov 6:23, Isa 2:5, Isa 9:2, Isa 10:17, Hab 3:3-4, Exod 13:31].
In physics we know that light is a compound of electric and magnetic fields vibrating in the vacuum of space [and inside matter]. Even when no matter or particles are present [a vacuum], space is full of light waves.
Every region of space in the universe is full of light waves. If the temperature is high, as in the center of a star, the light waves will be high energy waves, like gamma rays or ultraviolet light. At the surface of a star the temperature is only thousands of degrees and most of the light is visible light. In a closed container on planet Earth, at room temperature, the waves are infrared waves, ~20 times longer than visible light. Even at the lowest possible temperature Absolute Zero [-460 oF, -273.15 oC] a closed container still has light waves! A fact only partly understood by physicists.
The presence of light in a vacuum, even at Absolute Zero temperature, was a surprise to many physicists. Yet that fact was available to anyone who read the Holy Bible. This fact is revealed in Psm 139:12 “Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee [He who is light]; but the night [enclosed darkness] shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.”[written ~1000 B.C.] Indeed He who is light is present even in the darkest vacuum at Absolute Zero temperature.
These waves are called Zero Point Radiation. Noted Soviet physicist [Father of the Soviet Hydrogen Bomb] Andre Sakharov was one of the first to suggest that the existence of this radiation. In recent years the Zero Point Radiation has become central in the study of the vacuum as a substance. The vacuum is the Nothing that all this fuss is about!
Experimental verification of the Zero Point Radiation came with the work of Hendrik B. G. Casimir, of Philips Research Labs, in 1948. He showed that the vacuum exerts a force of about one atmosphere pressure; trying to force together two parallel metal plates separated by a distance of 1/50 the wavelength of visible light. The existence of this Zero Point Radiation can’t be doubted, but its meaning is one of the great mysteries of modern physics.
We who know Him who is the Light are aware how He always pierces the darkness. Praise God for His persistence and patience in bringing all things into His Glorious Light.
The Mysterious Created Vacuum
The Universe is mostly empty, with space having less than ten atoms [mostly Hydrogen] in each cubic inch of space. That is a better vacuum than the best laboratory vacuum ever produced. The vacuum has definite characteristics. It is totally invisible-transparent. And a perfectly empty vacuum transmits light at 186,000 miles/sec [299,792.458 km/sec], that’s only 1.3 seconds to go to the Moon. And every time we measure the speed of light we get the same number! Why? How does something that is seemingly not there at all know how fast light should go? Apparently there is much more to the vacuum than we can see [Ha, Ha]. There must be something present setting the speed of light.
In the late 1800’s physicists had just figured out that light is an electro-magnetic wave. But what is that? It seems that when electric charge [like an electron] is present and moving it makes changing electric and magnetic fields in empty space, which move through space at the speed of light. Those physicists ~130 years ago tried to make a theory about light and the vacuum imagining fields as mechanical things. None of the mechanical theories survived testing.
In the early 1900’s, indesperation, Relativity Theory supposed that the speed of light is like a mathematical rule, which just is, because it is, because it is; without any process or mechanism. But that theory has as its foundation ideas that are logically impossible. For example, Relativity Theory defines two events as being simultaneous if light signals from them arrive at an observer at the same instant. But if we send a light signal out to a mirror and wait for its return, then we have the same light signal at the launch instant, and its return instant. It’s the same light signal so it should be simultaneous by definition; yet there is time elapsed between the two. Here we can set the travel time to zero in accord with the Relativity Definition of simultaneous, then the speed of light is unknowable; or we can count the travel time, measure the speed of light, and abandon the Relativity Definition of simultaneous. Relativity as taught in schools today keeps both the definition and the measure. That’s logically impossible!
Going back to basics, the vacuum has the property of transporting light at a particular speed. Something must be there making that happen, over and over again! There is design and purpose in this. God is consistent.
For a hundred years most physicists have supposed that the vacuum speed of light is a rule, like 2 + 2 = 4. They missed it! Such thinking kept man from exploring and discovering what is truly going on in the vacuum. Seeing the vacuum as a substance, one of God’s beautiful mysterious creations, opens the door to exploration. It’s time we Christian physicists get to work exploring the Mysterious Vacuum.
The Lord Of All Spaces Has His Mind On You
There is a Glorious New Jerusalem, now invisible, in a parallel space, being prepared to arrive on Earth at just the right time. It is the intended dwelling place of the elect, prepared by the Lord. The Lord of All told us in John 13:2-3, “In my Father’s house [temple] are many mansions [dwelling places]:… I go to prepare a place for you [my disciples]. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
It only took Jesus 6 days to make the entire universe, all of the hundreds of billions of galaxies, thousands of billions of billions of stars, everything in our space. When Jesus went into the heavenly spaces at His resurrection, He as a Good Jewish Husband, began to work onour dwelling places,the house for His Bride, The Church, in that New Jerusalem. And He has continued working for nearly 2000 years. That house He is preparing must be quite incredible, considering the enormous effort He has applied to making it for 2000 years!
In Revelation 21 we read that this Holy City is a cube, 12,000 furlongs [stadia] along each of its three dimensions. A furlong [stadion] is about 600 feet =1/9 mile. So the dimensions of the cube are ~1,360 miles each [distance from Washington D.C. to San Antonio]. The height of the city is ~1360 miles! The Earth’s present atmosphere sustains human life only up ~5 miles! The upper floors of this great city are outside the atmosphere!
I suspect this means that the gravity and atmosphere of the Earth are going to change dramatically, or we will be so changed that we will not need an atmosphere at all!
In Hebrews 1:10-12 we read “Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.” Jesus the Lord of all Spaces shall in the end change the nature of spaces to serve His grand plan. Last Month at SABBSA
Dr. Daniel Harris made a considerable contribution to the creation effort with his groundbreaking presentation of “The Truth about History – Part I” to an enthusiastic and standing room only crowd at our April meeting. It is somewhat lengthy, but well worth the hour and 50 minutes with two intermissions which we devoted to this topic. In this power point talk, Dr. Harris gave us a new detailed timeline for Earth history and events which agrees not only with current scientific evidence, but also with the bible as well as historical records. It places the creation somewhere in the 8000-10,000 year realm, with the flood at 5999 BC.
The most startling development of his research is the verification of a previously tossed about idea of the ice age not being a direct result of the flood, but of rapid movement of the continents and tectonic plates after the flood. This event included considerable volcanic activity in the deep ocean ridges to spread the sea floor and move the continents, but also contributed to mountain building (as the bible says, “fixing a divide between the waters and the land”) This allowed the continents to be moved over a 1000 year period after the flood and the resultant volcanic activity both heated the oceans causing large amounts of evaporation as well as seeded the upper atmosphere with debris which clouded the skies, cutting off enough sunlight to create cooler continents. This is a recipe for the formation of an ice age, and scientific discoveries, historical records and those of the Bible have a good amount of agreement that this all occurred about the time of the life of Peleg in the Bible, which references to these events occurring.
There was much more in his talk including evidence for the complete drying of the Mediterranean in historical times, along with dinosaur’s appearance in historical times. This talk is a treasure which we will promote to interested audiences in the future. Also, there is some talk of compiling this information onto a DVD and into book form and we believe both would be worthy efforts.
