INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EWTGLANT JOINT TERMINAL ATTACK CONTROLLER SCREENING CHECKLIST

Per JCAS AP MOA 2004-001, Prospective JTAC candidates attending the EWTGLANT TACP Course must meet the following pre-requisites prior to course commencement. Waivers of pre-requisites may be requested IAW JCAS AP MOA 2004-001 Appendix A, Enclosure 6 (see attached template).

Completion of all pre-requisites shall be endorsed by Security Cooperation Officer, Office of Defense Cooperation.

□  A minimum of one year of operational experience with the integration of direct, indirect, and aviation fires in consonance with ground maneuver.

□  A minimum of SECRET Security Clearance is required.

□  Required Readings for Introductory Exam.

o JP 3-09.3 Close Air Support (08 Jul 09) – Chapter 5

o MAWTS-1 TACP TACSOP (02 Mar 12) – Chapters 2 and 3

□  Section A: MarineNet Distance Learning JTAC Primer Course (11 on-line Modules).

o How to enroll: Log on and register on https://www.marinenet.usmc.mil/portal/ ,

then browse "Course Catalog", Select "Functional Specialty Training Course", Select

"Supporting Arms", Select “Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Primer Curriculum”,

click “Enroll”, then click “Enroll” again.

o Distance Learning certificates will be collected on day one of the course
