EVERY ONE

Save the Children’s ambitious new 2010-2015 strategy outlines the key areas of our focus for children: education, emergencies, child protection, HIV/AIDS and child rights.

EVERY child is born with the right to live, but not an equal chance. Every year 9 million children die before they reach their fifth birthday, mostly from preventable causes such as diarrhea and pneumonia.

On October 5 2009 Save the Children launched EVERY ONE, a global campaign to stop young children dying from preventable causes. Our new, five year campaign will ensure that Millennium Development Goal 4 is achieved, reducing child mortality by two thirds by 2015 and saving the lives of 5 million children each year.

EVERY ONE of us has a role to play in saving children's lives.Your communications expertise will play an important role in engaging staff and the public inthe EVERY ONEcampaign.

Job Purpose:

The intern will support and assist the EVERY ONE campaign team with a variety of ongoing and project based work, primarily focused on communications. This role will provide the intern with experience working within a busy campaign team supporting the work of an international NGO.

In return for your valuable time as a volunteer, we will support you in your development of skills and understanding of both Save the Children and the sector. We will cover reasonable travel and lunch costs.
