Applying to LBHS International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
Students living within the LBHS Attendance area are automatically considered for enrollment in the IB Diploma Program at LBHS. To insure that you are considered for enrollment into the IB Program, it is highly recommended that you complete all of the application procedures whether you live within our attendance area or not. A few spaces each year are reserved for students living outside of our attendance area through the SCUSD’s Open Enrollment Program.
The formal application process involves an LBHS IB Program application as well as an open enrollment application.
All required application elements – the application form, transcripts, attendance record and behavior record should be mailed, emailed or dropped off in person (Main Office, LBHS).
Applications are due by 3:00 pm on Friday, February 12, 2016.
LBHS IB Application Requirement
A complete LBHS IB Program application is comprised of:
· Application form
· Transcript
· Attendance Record
· Behavior Record
Open Enrollment Requirement
Only students who do not live in the LBHS Attendance area are required to apply to the IB Program through SCUSD’s Open Enrollment. It is highly recommended, however, that ALL students interested in the program, including those living within our Attendance Area, apply to the program through Open Enrollment.
For convenience, families may apply for Open Enrollment online.
If a student outside our attendance area wishes to apply to the program after Open Enrollment is closed, they will need to visit the District Enrollment Center.
Application Review and Acceptance
In late winter, all applications are reviewed. Students who are accepted into the program will be notified by mail in early Spring,
