Asking documents from our library

The ILL-DD service sends books or reproductions to libraries needing them for study or research reasons.

WHO CAN APPLY:
the service is active only between libraries. Students, teachers and private citizens may apply to their university or public library, who will be held as responsible for the loan and the payments.

SERVICE FEATURES:
the borrowing library will be liable for the book until it comes back to our library. Serials, dictionaries, reference, non-book material, books printed in the two years preceding the current year or edited more than a century ago are excluded from loan. The loaned material must be sent back within one month from the dispatch date by registered mail. Loaned books cannot be carried outside, but only examined inside the borrowing library. Borrowing libraries are charged for loans and photocopies. We cannot provide any other way of reproduction. The only possible way of payment is through IFLA vouchers. (see:

CHARGES LOANS:
1 full IFLA voucher for every book. Could be asked an additional charge to cover the higher cost of postage.

COPIES:
1 full IFLA voucher for every block of max. 20 pages + 1/2 IFLA voucher for each 20 pages increment. Exceptionally, might be asked there imbursement of the equivalent of the IFLA voucher value with international reply coupons at the rate of 7 for the full and 4 for the half IFLA voucher. The payment could be requested IN ADVANCE.

FURTHER INFORMATION:
the availability to loan/copy will be examined in any single case, according to the kind of material and to the holding library rules. • please consider the time required by mail service. • payment is due when the requesting library renounces to the loan/copies, but the request is cancelled after the material has been dispatched. • No more than THREE requests for loan/copies in progress can be entered.

requests for material belonging to institute and department Libraries of the Law and Humanistic studies should be sent to the following address: Emails are particularly welcome, since they allow to send quickly and easily answers and notices. For the same reason we suggest you to insert in each message therequest of only one document, a reference number and the address where the material should be sent.
