INTER-BATTALION BOYS 6-A-SIDE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

RUSTON SPORTS FIELD - 4 FEBRUARY 2012
GENERAL

1. The inter-battalion boys 6-A-Side Football Championships will be held on Saturday 4 February 2012 at Ruston Sports field, Newark Rd, Lincoln, LN6 8 RN commencing at 1200 hrs. All matches will be played on the two G3 Pitches.

DRESS

2. Civilian Clothing is to be worn by all those attending.

3. Changing facilities are available at Ruston’s Sports centre.

4. Players must wear appropriate footwear for the G3 surface.

5. Players must also wear regulation shin pads whilst on the field of play.

6. Teams must bring a change of shirts or bibs of a different colour.

7. Each team must have 8 players.

MESSING AND TRANSPORT

7. a. Each team is to bring their own pack lunches and drinks. There are coffee and sweet machines if you require them.

b. I will book all the transport on the training application, it will be up to companies and squadron to arrange collections and timings.

ENTRIES

8. Companies and Squadron may enter a Junior and Senior team as follows:

a. Juniors. Male cadets under 15 years of age on 01 September 2011. To qualify cadets

must have been born on or after 02 September 1996. (Year 10 and below).

b. Seniors. Male cadets over 15 and under 18 years of age on 01 September 2011. To

qualify cadets must have been born between 02 September 1993 and 01 September

1996.

OFFICIALS

9. a. If there are any qualified referees within the Battalion could please let me know and if you are willing to help out.

COMPETITION RULES & PRIZE GIVING

10. Rules for 6 A Side Football are contained in the ACF Sports Manual, Page 17 (Revised June 2011). The format will run as a league with the top team of each age group the winner.

11. Battalion Deputy Sports Officer is asked to supply Trophies and Medals that will be awarded to the Winners and Runners Up.

SUMMARY

13. To aid in selecting the junior and senior boy’s football teams that will play in the Regional competition in February and the Nationals in March, this will be an event held annually around this time and not run on annual camp like it has been done the last couple of year.
