Carcinogenicity- May cause cancer / The storage quantity is 1 g. However, the quantity required to prepare 2 ml volume of 5mg/mlstock solution is 10 mg. Only 20 µl of the stock solution will be used for each experiment. So, the likelihood of exposure is low.

Control Measures adopted (personal protective equipment)






Ensure adequate ventilation especially in confined areas. Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, protective gloves and long sleeved laboratory coat. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid dust formation. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Also, remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Spillage



Method of Disposal


Collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local/national regulations.
Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.

Emergency procedures

In case of fire / Use suitable extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Such as water spray and alcohol-resistant foam

Description of first aid measures / General advice: if exposed or concerned, get medical advice and attention and show the safety data sheet to the physician
In case of eye contact: Immediately flush with plenty of water. After initial flushing, remove any contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15minutes.
In case of skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water while removing all contaminated clothes and shoes.
If ingested: Clean mouth with water and drink plenty of water.
If inhalation: if breathed in, move the person into fresh air
