APPLICATION TO PERFORM AT ASHFORD BANDSTAND

Revelation, in partnership with Ashford Borough Council, are programming a series of musical performances on the Town Centre Bandstand. Revelation’s Ashford Town Centre Bandstand programme aims to create a unique atmosphere with entertaining and exciting acts that will make Ashford residents proud.

Revelation will curate a year-round programme of established and emerging artists with a variety of genres, ages and abilities. The programme will take place on summer Saturdays and other special days in Ashford’s calendar.

INFORMATION FOR PERFORMERS

1.  Technical: The bandstand is covered but is open on the sides. There is basic remote-controlled LED coloured lighting under the bandstand roof that can be used for events. There is one 16amp connector plug that feeds an extension with 3 x 13amp plug sockets. Where possible, Revelation asks that performers provide their own equipment (which must satisfy Revelation’s Health & Safely policy and be PAT tested if over 1 year old). Revelation does have limited equipment that can be used, please specify your requirements below.

2.  Revelation must be given the number of performers and approve any performers/artists under the age of 16. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. A ratio of one adult per 12 children is recommended and measures should be in place for parental consent and any medical conditions of minors.

3.  There will be a Revelation representative at the event to assist you, to ensure the bandstand is safe and to answer any questions you may have. All performers are responsible for their own wellbeing, health and safety. If you have any concerns, please report them to the Revelation representative.

4.  Revelation will promote bandstand events on our website, social media and networks. We ask that you also promote the event as widely as possible through friends, family, social media and your networks.

5.  Revelation reserves the right to take photographs and recordings of performances to use for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to this, please let us know in advance.

6.  It is Revelation’s policy (as we operate predominantly from St Mary’s Church) that all performers abide by Canon Law's F15 and F16 regarding no profanity or inappropriate behaviour in churches. This will also ensure a family friendly atmosphere for the town centre.

7.  Revelation provides Public Liability Insurance up to the value of £5million. If an incident was to occur full details and a report would be made at the time by the Revelation representative.

8.  Cancellation policy: In the unlikely event that the performance has to be cancelled by Revelation (due to severe weather or any other unavoidable circumstance) the performer will be informed at the earliest convenience. No payments will be made. If the performer/artist has to cancel, Revelation asks for 28 days’ notice.

9.  If a fee is to be paid, payment will by BACS. Please inform the Revelation of your bank details at least 14 days before the performance with your invoice. All agreed fees must include VAT.

10.  Parking/drop off/pick up: There are several car parks in Ashford, for full information regarding Town Centre Parking please visit http://www.ashford.gov.uk/transport_and_streets/parking.aspx.

If you need to drop off equipment at the bandstand you will need permission for your vehicle to access the pedestrianized area. Please provide your vehicle registration, make, model and time of arrival/departure with 14 days in advance.

11.  Due to licensing restrictions, you cannot ask for donations or distribute flyer or hand out materials unless you have a permit, and noise levels should be reasonable (this will be monitored by the Revelation representative).
