IndyCar Press Conference

· IndyCar will be releasing the 2013 schedule (including our race) on SPEED TV’s “Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain” at 9 pm ET this Sunday.
o Our race will be held July 5-7 Weekend
o Race Name: Pocono IndyCar 400
o The Firestone Indy Lights will compliment the IndyCar Series during our race weekend
· Our formal announcement will occur Monday with press release & press conference at 10:15 am ET. Tickets will go on sale on Monday!!!
o WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF THE INDYCAR TRIPLE CROWN
§ Includes Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Pocono Raceway & Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, California)
§ Media Attending & VIPs will be on site, as well as, IndyCar representatives
· All Pocono Raceway employees are asked to attend Monday’s press conference. All details are listed below.
· DO NOT DISCUSS ANY DETAILS UNTIL MONDAY!
o When using social media (Facebook/Twitter/Etc.) over the weekend, including Sunday, please only repost or “share” official Pocono Raceway posts until Monday. On Monday, feel free to post all the content you desire.
o You ARE permitted to shot photos during press conference
· SELECT Pocono Raceway Staff to attend Media Center for lunch.
o If food is left over, we will notify department heads
· Dress Code for Monday is “Race Day” attire OR business casual.
o Men – Pants and polo/button-up are preferred. NO Tee Shirts
o Women – No TEE SHIRTS
· All Employees must wear their Pocono Raceway ID Badges!
· Miscellaneous Notes:
o First time open-wheel racing has been at Pocono Raceway in 23 years
o Open-Wheel raced here for 19 years from 1971 – 1989
o Ricky will discuss ticketing structure for the Pocono IndyCar 400

Introduces Brandon (talks about Indy history at Pocono and “welcomes the IZOD IndyCar Series” and announces date of event
Brandon Introduces Bernard, who talks about “great be back at Pocono.” He WILL make the “Triple Crown Announcement”
