Call to Order and Introductions:

The meeting was called to order by Christina McCullough.

v  Everyone is invited to the IGIC Board of Directors meeting at the Indiana State Fair’s Normandy Barn. The meeting will highlight new projects and milestones

o  Demonstrations of Indiana's NEW Statewide GIS Data Programs:

v  Essential Facilities layers project has been demonstrated to a plethora of agencies to include HIFLD, USGS, FEMA, NSGIC, DOD, etc. The four counties included in this project were Noble, Madison, Benton and Daviess. Future plans (in talks right now) for the project include a Next generation project to include all 92 Indiana counties.

Chapter 1, File and Data Storage and Management

Several edits will be completed in Chapter 1.

·  Back Drive section - off-site backup, disk back up and external hard drive back up were added.

·  CI/KR section - 'CI/KR Data Storage Folder' was changed to 'Critical Infrastructure Information (CII) Data Storage Folder'.

·  CII Section - Definitions for additional Critical Infrastructure data sets will be added; ACAMS, HSIP Partnership Program, HSIP Freedom, HSIP GOLD, HAZUS Facilities Layers, EPA TRI, State Protected Data, Virtual USA

·  Historical Shared File Storage; USGS, IHAPI, Imagery

·  Text will include references to the IndianaMap.

New Business

August 30, 2011, NAPSG Virtual Training - Discovering GIS Information that Supports Public

Safety.

The National Alliance for Public Safety GIS Foundation and the National States Geographic

Information Council, with support from the US Department of Homeland Security, are co-hosting

a webcast training to provide public safety & emergency services personnel and GIS & IT

professionals with training on how to use the GIS Inventory to advance the use of geospatial

information in daily public safety operations.
