For those of you who couldn't make it to last night's meeting, here are the highlights. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Old Business

  • We made $1154 this summer at the fireworks stand. We will be doing this again this summer.
  • Our car wash brought in $503. Looking to do another this spring.
  • Bonney Lake days was a success! Kids were great spokesmen, got a new mentor and made new contacts. We will definitely do again next year.

16/17 Fundraisers

  • A PICKET FENCE (ppp fundraiser) will be held October 27th from 5:30-7:30 at "A Picket Fence" store. Address is 1006 Main St., Sumner. Anyone can come and shop for the holidays. Up to 20% of the profits will go to Robotics. Please see attached flyer that was sent out on the 10th. Put on your Facebook page or email to your friends and get as many as you can to come shop and help raise money for our group.
  • Wreaths (ASB fundraiser) Your child should be coming home with a flyer from Mr. Vanderhoek about selling wreaths. This is one of our biggest yearly fundraisers. It is expected that each kid sells at least 5 wreaths.
  • Spirit Wear (ppp fundraiser) We are still working on a vendor. We are expecting to have sweatshirts, t-shirts and rally towels to sell around February.
  • 2nd Annual Auction (ppp fundraiser) We have arranged to have a dessert auction/community outreach night on March 18th from 7-9 in the high school Commons. Each student will be asked to put baskets together, bring desserts and/or donations to help with this auction. Many school board and community members will be invited to this big night.

New Business

  • If you plan to do any volunteering at all this year, even helping with meal prep, you MUST fill out a volunteer background check form on the SSD website. This is a great thing to do just to have if anything comes up.
  • Your child will be bringing home flyer about turning in money for meals. This can be paid by check only to Mr. Vanderhoek. He cannot accept cash unfortunately. We can accept cash at any of the parent meetings or email us and one of us can arrange to meet you.
  • Please see the attached flyer about important key dates this year. Our second competition has been confirmed in Snohomish. The one at Eastern is dependent on if we make finals.
