Charlotte

Ref No: 47454

Dear Charlotte,

I am writing with a response to your Freedom of Information request, which was originally received on the 25thFebruary with a follow up 28th March. I can confirm under section 1 of the Act that the Trust doeshold some of this information.

In your original request you asked:

1. Please can you tell us when the next Procedure Pack Tender is due to be published and when the existing one ends. This should include Theatre/OR packs.

2. Please can you tell us what the volume of goods contracted per annum is and the total value of the contract.

3. Can you also send us a copy of the bid by the winner of the existing tender in either .doc or .pdf format.

The Trusts response stated:

The Trust doesn’t actually have the tender submissions for this contract. It went to tender but it is a contract awarded by the re:source procurement hub which was disestablished 3 years ago. The contracts were novated to Sherwood Forest Hospitals but the Trustdoesn’t hold the tender documents.

The other points are as follows:

1. The current agreement (re:source framework) expires on 31st March 2014, and has the provision to extend for a further 12 months. SFH are investigating moving to an alternative regional framework on expiry of this agreement, so will not be issuing a tender for Procedure Packs.

2. Overall the Trust purchases 11663 packs at a value of £252,830.09 exc vat.

The Trust then received a follow up email dated 28th March 2014, stating:

We are seeking information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 with regards to the current Procedure Pack Tender in place for Theatre Packs.

1. Can you send us a copy of the bid by the winner of the existing tender in either .doc or .pdf format.

Where the committee feel there is a compromise of commercial interest for the winning competitor under Section 43 of the Freedom of Information Act please could you redact/remove any offending information.

As identified in the Trusts previous response I can confirm the Trust never received the tender documents from the procurement hub and therefore does not hold this information.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at the address above. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
