I, ______of ______, ______, solemnly declare that:
I am a duly authorized corporate officer of the Project Developer, and as such have authority to bind the Project Developer.
The Project Developer has submitted an application for emission offsets under the Province’s Carbon Competitiveness Incentive Regulation (255/2017), for the emission offset project identified as:
______, including any subprojects,
(project name as listed on project report submitted to Alberta Emissions Offset Registry)
claiming ______verified tonnes CO2e
for the reporting period of ______to ______,
as identified in the project report submitted to the Alberta Emissions Offset Registry.
The Project Developer has the exclusive authority to transact in all of the emission offsets identified in the Greenhouse Gas Assertion that the Project Developer has claimed in the project report for the reporting period of
______to ______, and no other person has a reasonable claim to the rights associated with those emission offsets.
Based upon reasonable investigation, I declare that
(a)the emission offset project,
(b)the emission offsets identified in the Greenhouse Gas Assertion that the Project Developer has claimed, and
(c)any associated environmental attributes of the emission offsets claimed
have not been listed on any other greenhouse gas emission offset registry or submitted for recognition under any other offset recognition scheme, and have not been applied in relation to a regulatory requirement under another enactment.
I declare that the Project Developer will not now or in the future do any of the following:
(a)apply the emission offsetsthat the Project Developer has claimed in the Greenhouse Gas Assertion, or any associated environmental attributes of the emission offsets, in relation to a regulatory requirement under another enactment, or
(b)submit the emission offsets that the Project Developer has claimed in the Greenhouse Gas Assertion, or any associated environmental attributes of the emission offsets, for recognition under any other offset recognition scheme
unless those emission offsets have first been removed from the Alberta Emissions Offset Registry and assigned the status “removed”.
This declaration is true, accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I understand that any false statement made in this declaration may result in cancellation of emission offsets on the Alberta Emissions Offset Registry and may be punishable as a criminal offence in accordance with provincial or federal statutes.
