·  Husband- wife duo- masterminds behind the sensational kidnapping for ransom of a child of an affluent businessman of Patna apprehended.

·  In order to evade the Patna Police they hid themselves in Delhi/NCR.

·  They had demanded Rs Two Crores for the safe release of the child.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police led by Inspr Sunil Kumar and comprising of SIs RavinderTeotia, N.S.Rana, HCs Ishwar, Vikram Dutt, Ieed Mohd., Ajay Sharma, Cts, Mohit, Manoj, Prem Pal, Surender, Kusum Pal, Udai Ram, and W/Ct. Anju under the close supervision of ACP KPS Malhotra and overall supervision of DCP Crime Bhisham Singh has arrested a husband-wife duo involved in the sensational case of kidnapping for ransom of boy, who is son of an affluent businessman of Patna, Bihar. The duo was desperately wanted by Bihar police as they were the masterminds behind the kidnapping for ransom case registered in PS Kotwali,Patna, Bihar. Kidnappers had demanded Rs. 2 crore as ransom money.

There was a strong suspicion of the Patna Police that the accused persons are hiding in the area of Delhi /NCR. This information was shared by Patna Police with Crime Branch of Delhi Police.

On 12.06.14, specific information was received that the Girish and Anamika the masterminds of the crime would come near Sarai Kale Khan to board the bus. A trap was laid and husband -wife who were later identified as Girish Pathak s/o Dhirender Nath Pathak r/o Village Kachnath, Pachrukhiya , PS Piro, Distt. Bhojpur, Bihar and Ms. Anamika w/o Girish Pathak r/o Village Kachnath ,Pachrukhiya PS Piro, Distt. Bhojpur, Bihar were apprehended.

They were subjected to intensive interrogation. Their interrogation led to the uncovering of the whole plot . The duo were associated with the family of the victim. Anamika was working as a receptionist at a Hotel of the victim's father and had won over the confidence and got her husband Girish Pathak a job as a driver for the family. They were aware of well to do status of the family and had dream of becoming rich overnight for which they deployed wrong means. They hatched a conspiracy to kidnap the son of the businessman.

On the fateful day i.e. 07.02.14, as per their plan Girish pathak took the victim in a car to the nearby stadium in Patna for playing badminton. On the way Abhishek, his friend and Pardeep , his brother also boarded the same car and overpowered the victim and took him to a secluded place in Aara, Bihar from where they made the ransom call and demanded Rs. 2 Crore for the safe release. A case of kidnapping for ransom was registered in the PS Kotwali, Patna, Bihar.

Complainant had agreed to their demands but before they could succeed in their nefarious plans local police raided their hideout and rescued the boy and arrested three persons Abhishek, Vinay and Pardeep but Girish Pathak along with his wife Anamika managed to escape from there and since then both were evading their arrest.

GirishPathak and Anamika were arrested under the appropriate sections of the law and the information regarding their arrest has been given to Bihar Police.

PROFILE:-

1. Accused GirishPathak is a permanent resident of village Kachnath ,Pachrukhiya PS Piro, Distt. Bhojpur, Bihar. He studied upto 12th class and there afterdid part time job in various private companies . About 3 years back he came in contact with Anamika who was residing near his work place. In Jan 2013 he married Anamika. Girish was working as driver with the victim's family and was aware of good financial status of his employer. To get easy money he alongwith his associates hatched a conspiracy to kidnap the son of the complainant. He roped in his two brothers Vinay and Pardeep and friend Abhishek.

2. Anamika is permanent resident of Patna, Bihar. Her father runs a dairy in Patna. In December 2013, she started working as receptionist in the hotel run by the complainant. On her recommendation, her husband got the job of driver in the victim family but to earn quick money they both betrayed the faith of their employer.

·  Two notorious and desperate interstate gangsters arrested.

·  A kidnapping cum murder case has been solved.

·  One sophisticated pistol and a country made pistol alongwith cartridges recovered.

·  The gangsters are involved in 20 cases of murder, attempt to murder , robbery, kidnapping for ransom and Arms Act of Delhi, Haryana and UP.

A team of officers of Special Cell led by Inspector Manoj Dixit and Inspector Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Satyavir Singh, ACP has apprehended two notorious and desperate interstate gangsters Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju, (aged-36 years) r/o Swatantar nagar, Narela and Rajeev @ Diwanji (aged-33 years) r/o Khajoori Khas involved in over 20 cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, and Arms Act of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Arms and ammunition has been recovered from their possession. A reward of Rs. 20,000/- has been declared by the Delhi Police for his arrest.

OPERATION

An information was received that Rajiv Dahiya @ Raju and Rajiv @ Diwanji were moving in and around Delhi. This information was developed and the efforts of the team bore fruits when the team got a specific input that Rajiv Dahiya @Raju and Rajiv @ Diwanji would be coming to Bhairon Mandir in a Santro car No. DL-4C-AP-7093. A trap was laid near at Bhairon Mandir, at around 9.15 PM, a grey coloured Santro Car DL-4C-AP-7093 halted near Bhairon Mandir and two persons alighted from the car and started to waiting for someone. After waiting for some time when they were about to move they were apprehended by the police team. They were identified as Rajiv Dahiya @ Raju and Rajiv @ Diwanji. A sophisticated star pistol .30 bore alongwith cartridges has been recovered from accused Rajiv Dahiya @Raju and a country made pistol .315 bore alongwith cartridges has been recovered from possession of Rajiv @ Diwanji. A case under appropriate sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.

During sustained interrogation Rajiv Dahiya @ Raju disclosed that he had a monetary dispute to a tune of Rs. 1.25 Crores with Arvind r/o Village Karala, PS Kanjhawala. He called Arvind and asked him to accompany him to Muzaffarnagar in Santro car but when they reached Murthal, Arvind tried to escape, in a fit of rage, Rajiv Dahiya shot him thrice, Arvind fell on the road and Rajiv Dahiya fled the spot. A case FIR No. 434 dated 20.12.2013 u/s 365 IPC was registered at PS Kanjahawala in this regard. At the instance of Rajeev Dahiya and the verification from the Haryana police revealed that vide case FIR No. 459 dated 20.12.2013 u/s 279/304 IPC PS Gannaur, Haryana which was later converted to u/s 302/201/25 Arms Act, the body of Arvind was found ahead of a Neelkhant Dhaba on G.T. Road. His photograph has been identified by his relatives.

Rajiv @ Diwanji disclosed that on 13.12.2003, he along with his associates accosted a businessmen Dilip Kumar Sanjwani in the area of Paharganj. They kidnapped and put him in their car and then killed him. They left his body in the car and took away cash worth Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. Rajiv @ Diwanji, and his associate Vijaypal were arrested by Special Cell in the month of August, 2004, after a brief shootout and was in jail since August 2004. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case by the trial court and the sentence was up held by the Hon’ble High Court. He was granted parole on 12.07.2013 , but he jumped the parole.

PROFILE OF RAJIV DAHIYA@RAJU

He was born on 01.08.1979 in village Nahri Distt. Sonepat, Haryana. He completed his secondary education and started the business of property dealing in Narela Delhi. During this period he came in contact with criminal elements Ashok Pandit of Gohana, Haryana and Rajender @ Bansi, Loni Ghaziabad and consequently entered the world of crime. PROFILE OF RAJIV @DIWANJI

He was born on 16.10.1980 at Village Madhupura Distt. Bulandshahar UP. After completion of his Secondary education from a School in Yamuna Vihar Delhi, he fell in the company of criminals like Joginder @ Joga @ Sonu Vijay Pal , Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju, Dimple Tyagi and Vikash Yadav and joined the world of the crime and subsequently committed several murder robberies etc. His involvements are as under:-

During interrogation it has come to notice that both the gangsters are involved in cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, kidnapping for ransom, and Arms Act of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh since 1994.

HOUSE ROBBERY PLANNED AND COMMITTED BY A MAID SERVANT IS SOLVED WITH THE ARREST OF THREE ACCUSED PERSONS, ROBBED JEWELLARY ITEMS RECOVERED.

With the arrest of accused Sanjida aged 30 Years W/o Mohd Ali R/O Distt. Darbhanga, Bihar, Mohd Maula Ali S/o Kasim aged 35 years R/O Darbhanga, Bihar and a juvenile , a case of house Robbery in the area of East Patel Nagar, Delhi has been solved.

INCIDENT : On 09.06.14 at about 1.10 am an information was received regarding theft at H.NO. 14/34, East Patel Nagar, Delhi. On Subsequent enquiry it was found that land lady of the said house Smt. Geeta Sarkar aged 72 years was robbed of her two Kara’s, Bangles and Mobile phone by unknown robbers. A case vide FIR No. 370/14 U/s 451/ 392 IPC was registered at P.S. Patel Nagar and the investigation was taken up by SHO/ Patel Nagar under the close supervision of ACP/ Patel Nagar.

INVESTIGATION AND TEAM: A team comprising of SI Ram Pratap, HC Mahender, Ct. Jyot Ram, Ct. Ravinder and Ct. Manoj of the sub-division Patel Nagar was formed to crack the case. During the investigation it was revealed that the adjoining house was having CCTV Cameras. Therefore CCTV Footage from early evening till the time of the incident i.e. around 10.08 am was obtained and analyzed. CCTV Footage shows that around 8.35 pm rear gate of the house was opened and a hand was seen waiving someone. On this a male thin built, height about 5’5” appeared on the back lane and surveyed the area around the house of which the rear door was opened. From the clues and CCTV Footage it was apparent that some insider is involved in the commission of offence. On this the maid servant Sanjida and Ved Prakash, another part time servant employed by the elderly couple, were interrogated at length. Subsequently maid servant broke down and revealed that the elderly couple were residing alone very often in the house. Finding them an easy target to make easy money, she hatched a plan to rob the elderly couple with the help of her husband. The husband and wife duo also roped in a known acquaintance a juvenile to help them in executing the plan of the robbery and he in return was promised a handsome reward. All the robbed items Two Kara’s, A bangle and mobile phone have been recovered. Both the husband and wife are in judicial custody and the juvenile has been produced in JJ Board.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS:

1.  Sanjida W/o Mohd Maula Ali R/o Vill Bahedi, Distt. Darbhanga, Bihar aged 30 Years. A school dropout and a semi skilled beautician having three minor son.

2.  Mohd Maula Ali @ Abdul Manij S/o Kasim R/o Vill Bahedi, Distt. Darbhanga, Bihar aged 35 Years. Illiterate and plying ricksaw for livelihood.
